Are you sure about that? Does ABS work on ice? Yes. The system's computer monitors the speed of each of the vehicle's wheels, compares them and adjusts brake pressure to each wheel to ensure the car stops in the shortest distance possible for most road surfaces...

Imo with snow it comes down to common sense and experience more than any driving aids. It's probably why the south ground to more of a halt than the north. Experience that is;)

I heard that ABS/ESP... and the rest were a disadvantage in the snow. Therefore surly it must take more skill to to keep a modern car on the road in these conditions?

They told me they wouldn't do one for me too. Said it was pointless having one on a 1*2.

The limiter cuts in at around 6750 rpm not 6250 when cold.

I would be put off by the angel eyes and you need to know if the belts are done. If they have then 3-4.5k dependent on condition. If they havn't take £500 off.

+1 To say the 175 has awful handling when it can keep up with a focus ST that has a fair bit more power is laughable really. It's only a matter of time before they make one tbh.

It doesn't have to though. look at the meg 175. Its only a second or something daft behind the Focus ST on the track. The Astra 888 was as quick as the VXR too. They can't be that bad at handling can they??

I got mine done for £270, getting the rest of the 5y service in the next week or 2 and it will be around another £120.
