From what ive seen the Cup actually has MORE bhp than a 172
At the Midlands RR day a modified 172 pulled mailto:156bhp@wheels i ve"> 156bhp @ wheels i ve seen this ame car pull mailto:184bhp@fly"> 184bhp @ fly on different rollers) and a std cup pulled mailto:166bhp@wheels">...
KDF, Interior is okay, the seat seem to be quite good with plenty of support for going round those corners, again its not as plush as the 172 but its not bad at all
do you mean the seats are less supportive than the 172 ones???? (theyre the same as the 172/cup BTW!!!!!;))
depends on how seep they are, T cut works quite well, but i always use Autoglym first (sometimes works all tiny marks and swirls) but if this fails i get the t-cut out and rub the fecker for a good 10mins!!!!!
Bit of a trial and error question this one, youre probably gonns have to guestimate it, or take one of your 5mm spacers off the back and put it on the front so then its spaced a total of 10mm, thisll give you a better idea of how much you need to space if you understand what i mean????
Spacers...
No its not Solowish, yours is a 40mm drop on a non 172 hence is actually 20mm higher than the 172 in the top pic (remember 172s are 20mm lower than a std clio to start with)
ie. 172 -20mm then lower -40 = -60mm
std clio +20mm then lower -40 = -20mm
My car +20mm lowered -60 = -40mm (or...
Thats Jamies car aka WalisJ (or similar) Its got eithe Avo Chassis Dynamic springs or Apex (cant remember) 40mm drop i think
It works out as the same drop as my car
172 (20mm lower to strat with) +40mm drop = 60mm
My car 60mm drop
Check you wheels is all i can recommend, youll have to take one off the car and have a close look on the back of it you should see "ET37" (this is an example, the number maybe different)
Was it a 16v 1.4 polo???? Cos if it was then it wouldve beaten you in a straight line (my mum has one, very quick 100bhp, but it doesnt handle, and it doesnt stop either!!!!)
Frosty, i got "that information" FROM THIS SITE!!! Its in the magazine articles section on the main page tested by Autocar
