Im intrigued... £150 seems a bit steep for some solid mounts from k-tec.. Do you have any pictures of the fitting/mount?

When it was up on the ramp and we had a good look around it and spun the wheels everything was free and moving as it should nothing obvious catching. So this is obviously happening as a result of the weight of the front end over the suspension but i just cant see how the top mounts can cause...

No dis-respect guys but this isnt normal. Tony im aware of the steering at full lock issues - at worst it should creak at low speeds, this is something that would insist is bent/out of place. My old Phase 1 172 wasnt anything like this

Feels exactly like that Badger! Its only at full lock aswell which is odd as it drives straight as an arrow at any other point of Travel. I really doubt its anything ro do with the top mounts?

Its nothing to do with the tyres, it does it regardless.

It seems to only judder at a certain point of the rotation so maybe a flat spot on one of the tyres??

No mate just standard shocks and springs. Ive not had a chance to have a look at it but if it looks as bad as it sounds then its going off the road? I know the top mounts have a tendancy to clunk at low speeds but this is most definatley a bigger problem than that :-(

When i turn the steering full lock in either direction the car is very very twitchy i.e it will clunk and generally feel as if the wheel is ready to collapse on its self. Once turned near full lock it drags the wheel out of your hand and starts to clunk and shake violently like i said...

Spend whatever you can afford to buy the cleanest/most comprehensivley documented example you can. The knocking under harsh acceleration is usually a mount, not uncommon but im unsure of how many sellers would be happy to see you redline their car in first... Dont worry about the slam panel...
