It might very well do 40mpg and im not disputing that.
But it was built with the intention that they were to be driven fast making for poorer fuel economy although i must admit before i got the 172 i thought it would have been alot worse than this lol:o

I dont see what the problem is, "hot-hatch" And economy dont go together! If you want to go to the moon and back on a tank of fuel buy a Citroen C1, 993cc 3 cylinder bad boy, mother has one.

I know what you mean, even from first igntion when being used frequently it fires into life immediatley as opose to being left for a few days/weeks!
They dont like to be left alone thats for sure!

No chance, id say its worth probaly 15k but ffs its 6 years old, plus as said above its gonna need all the belts done and serviced!

Cant seen them turning you away mate, i had a simillar problem with my old C2 GT, they were supposed to powder coat a wheel and never, took it back and they said no problem!
It is more than likley to be the wires under the seat.
Have they been soldered together? Id snip them and get a choc bloke or conector and re wire them together. mines was on for ages. 2 minute fix tbh!
