had a rear bumper painted a few days ago (was painted on friday) .. buffed saturday afternoon and picked it up yesterday night.
have used the body shop before they did a wing for me so i know they are good..
hes done it on the cheap as the bodyshop is next door to the garage i work at...
different types of flare etc.
got a wilwood bias valve... that has npt threads in it.. found some adaptors to go in to those which convert it to a 3/8 unfx24tpi male fitting..
found some female brake pipes nuts with the corresponding thread also..
but.. unlike the metric stuff im used to...
and pedal feel, response through pedal.. basically everything is improved.
was a bit of a nightmare as i was figuring it out custom (cat171 will tell you lol) but got the in the end.
i only had to make up 2 new quite short brake pipes in the end..
used a distribution block (basically 2 tee...
if possible, would somebody be able to get the part numbers and if poss prices.. for EVERYTHING required to mount a ph2 172 PAS rack..
ie from memory i think there are 2 brackets, two clamps that go on those brackets, and two bushes.
if somebody could confirm that and sort me some prices...
I've got an old f4r laying around which i've had for a while, which i think origionally had head gasket problems.
i've already had the head off it and rebuilt that, i was just going to sell the head but im now wondering as a bit of an evening project i may just rebuild the whole engine...
i've got a head as of today, came off a 40k 172 with a smokey bottom end.
i'll skim it (its not warped, just to clean up the surface), whip all the valves out and lap them in, rebuild it with new stem seals and include the cams cover, rockers and hydraulics all ready to go (no pulleys)

right i've had a bit of a search around and there are so many answers on the subject
obviously its down to personal preference, but i would like some guidance as im shelling out for 4 of them so dont want it to be wasted.

how would i, set about swapping the shift light and abs light?
ie when shift light would normally be on the abs lights up and vice versa
or even just that way, not to bothered about the other way round
no particular reason behind this, just wondering ;)

as title, can the be adapted *cough*molested in to fitting? i need powersteering, trying to lug my car about with no powersteering is fine if you really fancy a spirited drive but getting up at 6 to go to work its a bit much..
just need to know if i can get it to fit with the ff pipework

Or else pay the £160 or so fee and get the car registered as a kit car as such then there no MOT for 3 years (since the car goes for SVA approval and is deemed as new as such due to the extent of the test shtye do on it) you can keep your old number...
as title, want to mess about with maps etc and do a power run with rs tuner tommorow..
any ideas where i can go?

got a slight issue with the 182 lump..
when its not up to full operating temperature, if you snap the throttle open it bogs down and will then pick up, will do this everytime you snap the throttle untill its up to full operating temp
i know you dont need to be flooring it from cold before...
where are you venting the tank to?
at the moment its just unplugged underneath the car but obviously need to sort something proper
any ideas?
im thinking block it and make some sort of a vent in the filler neck or something
also, can i just plug a resistor in the solenoid plug to make...
need to extend the 1.2 plastic servo pipe to fit it up to the 172 inlet.
what sort of pipe should i be looking at as obviously it cant collapse under vacum
ideally something i can get from the likes of homebase of b&q that will hopefully be open tommorow
as title i've fitted 1.2 shafts when doing my 172 conversion, when taking the 1.2 shafts off the original gearbox the shaft just knocked off of the splined section on the box with a copper hammer
but fitting it to the 172 box it seems a tad loose for my liking, theres a hole through the...
after fitting the 172 dash loom there are loads of plugs down by where the headlight levler switch is that i assume are for traction control etc
also up by the airbag squib theres a plug
just want to know what switches i need to buy as if the stuffs there i might aswell be making use of it
Fred? or anybody know this,, i know its 6 rib just need the length cant measure it as the alternator hasnt arrived yet and im quite a deadline to get it ready before it goes to renault for the immobiliser coding
