Jay, the products you asked for; Wheels - Bilberry if they need a decent clean, then clay, polish, protect with Poorboys Wheel Sealant. Tar - AutoSmart Tardis Shampoo - DODO Born to be Mild Wax - what's your budget? See below. I agree. What happens if a piece of dirt falls onto your...

I would be interested to see if anyone has done a marring test on these, as I have always stayed away from MF/Noodle mitts. Stick with the Lambswool ones if I were you...

Come on JD help me out!!!!

Surely Chem Guys, Menz, AutoSmart, Valet Pro etc are all brands? I must have missed your point fella, but IMO you buy the product for the benefits, not the label (which I think is saying what you've said ;)).

    Help me get started!

Don't use a chamois. Don't buy a £40 orbital polisher. SRP won't remove swirls. AG Tyre Dressing will last for one day. Or less if it rains. Don't use a sponge. Don't use Back to Black. Don't use Tesco's Wheel Cleaner - battery acid is less acidic. Don't use the Flash/Halfrauds wheel brush...

JD is both tired, still hungover (read ill) and very busy this week. I'll put together a list when I get time lad, but in the meantime Gally and Lew can help you out.

    FagWagon

Depends on the remap but general concensus is you get better MPG from a remapped 1.8t, but only if you drive conservatively.

Yeah thanks for that Jim, not like I'm stuck on a train back to Cheshire or anything! At least your threads can keep me company until then :)

    FagWagon

I like the colour. But if I didn't I'd be calling my father a chump... Clean it, photo it, sell it for the 1-1.5 you'll make and stop driving around with gloves and a scarf on, with a sock down your pants. X Oh, and whoever said 6k for a 225 with low miles - what's your idea of low miles, 90k??

your insurance cost & who you're with at what age? sport models only

The point I made about daily threads on this subject was what SkyIns was refering to... There are at least three below this one that show people's prices, their car, their age etc etc. Hence our reactions to this thread being a wee bit pointless.

    Bi Xenon retro 50% finished

I really can't tell much difference, but I am very impressed with the "have a go myself" attitude, so kudos on that front buddy!

    halfords

To be fair, Halfords stock a lot of products that are "good as a substitute". For example we all know and love G101. But if I run out, I pop up for some Engine and Machine cleaner. They stock Autosol and wet and dry grades, AG intensive tar remover is average, but only in comparison to Tardis...

    Plastic Bottle With Sprayer

Will they contain corrosive chemicals? If not, poundland, B&Q, any DIY store basically. If so, I4D with chemical resistant spray heads.

    Advice needed

I add the usual amount that I would add to a bucket to a spray head bottle. So the mix is higher concentration than a wash bucket.

Looks great :) But forget the UDS.
  23. J

    halfords

Yes, he could. But then we'd have to put up with 37 more threads/PMs to me until he buys the products. This way, he gets on with it, gets it protected and then waits for the better weather to buy the rest. Only joshing with you Todd ;) Or am I..................
