those two were the reason I wanted a mk1 clio back in the day, that race was happening same year I came back from travelling and bought my first valver! :) @Martin_172
Tiny update, thought I'd treat her to a magic tree and try starting her again, first turn. So came back inside, watched telly and did my ironing, went back out, tried her again... First time again.
Seems a magic tree fixes immobiliser issues in old Renaults :-P
superb work, and it must be one of the most exciting things to know that once its done, you'll of built your own car, from scratch, truly deep doff of the cap to you sir!
hope you make the test.....in 3 days!!
cheers @Fantom i'll take those, you have pm, I can then decide which direction to take and for a tenner no loss really!
@182_steve on the above offer.......options open now :) lol!!
must just be the subtle addition of the large and pokier wheels that give it that extra bang! looks great
looking forward to sorting my new acquisition soon, love a phase 1.

Cheers @182_steve

All the wiring looked fine so no concerns, and the key sensor for the immobiliser...
they shouldn't of needed to touch anything engine mount related, or anything inboard of the hub really for a drivers side shaft change
the bolt does look a bit like one of the ones that holds the black bracket to the gearbox, but never heard of one of those working loose before
ah right, I've never owned a none sport mk2 so never had one with a sunroof! must of had a screen replacement at some point and had the wrong screen seal fitted! every day is a school day!
please do, nice to see the phase 1's being used and looked after, I do like my 182 but this is a little...
thing that boggles my mind is having bought many a mk1 in 12 year old 80k condition......they were always, and I mean always.....a wreck...this thing has cost me half what they used to, is 4 years older and done 60k more and its essentially.......well mint. I know i'm easily pleased but to see...
