Sounds like a dodgy injector to me,dodgy running on idle and low speed but okay higher revs (such as on the motorway)

the cooksports are far better, look just about as good and ride quality is much more compliant, not perfect, but better for sure

Crashy and bouncy. Not bad if you've not used anything else but there are far better springs out there. Frustratingly though they sit beautifully imo,loved the way my 172 looked on them :)

most vibration under hard acceleration is a misaligned or worn engine mount, so i'd be starting there

keep the RS tuning map mate, mines on same one and its done 100k nearly on it, no issues and drives great :) project should be good, and like Tom i'm local too, so if you need help or advice feel free to ask/pop over for a brew and a chinwag ;)

I bought a black cat d on 75k that needed belts doing for 800 quid with tax and test on it to put it into perspective. I wouldn't spend 1500 on that mess for sure but then again I'm renowned for being tight and its people like me that drive down the price of 182's and blah blah blah ;)

I had no issues at all using the 3m kit on the drill, perhaps that's less brutal than a true rotary then?

if you want to do it, simply remove it before you sell it

use the rotary for the sanding as well, quicker and easier. just be careful of the paintwork around the lights when you do the edges as the sanding discs will pull the rotary about a bit. triple or quad tape the paintwork to be safe

I would guess he did, as the proper Renault xenons the ballast is attached to the bottom of the light so you cant see it

I've never seen an iceberg ph1 in the flesh before the one I just bought, I had an iceberg mk1 RT years back, but that doesn't count!lol! I have however seen loads in phase 2 flavour

mines started stepping out finally, but that's with 2 in the back and ditch finders on top of the rarb and only in the damp......but it does do it!lol!
