ai linky to the guide Budgie man would be good :)
I've done loads on the mk1's so guessing same principle, lower frame and drop box onto it and slide out into wheel arch to get clearance?
when you say they are failing, what do you mean, the rubber is splitting or the CV joint collapsing even with rubber in tact
if its just the rubber I'd say its the 3rd party shaft (cheap rubbers), and buy a proper one from Renault or a used one you know is good.
if its the CV shitting itself...
HPi and if that's clear, buy. 2k for that is cheap imo
people on here just drive down the price of these cars and parts as they are all cheapskates (they learn that from me ;) )
same things happened to the mk1 scene about 5 years ago, no its dead :(

brand loyalty a bit too, I like what Renault sort of stands for, less of the stigmata...
I always use part worns, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to look for defects etc before you buy and use a bit of common sense to find good rubber at a fraction of the price of new.
however, I wouldn't change just one tyre, pairs only, and I sure as hell would make sure they're balanced.
