Only just realised I've never done a build thread for my current 172 Cup so thought it would be rude not to.
Had one back in 2014 which was actually quite a nail so ended up selling it on.
Since then I've had an MR2 Turbo and a Skoda Fabia VRS which became my only car when the MR2 blew up. I...
Looking at getting a half cage for my 172 at some point. Mostly so my harnesses are mounted correctly. But most of the ones going look like I will struggle to fit as my seat is really far back.
Looking at these am I going to struggle to get a cage in here?
Well this is an annoying one. Went to move my Clio off the drive last night, unlocked it, got in, turned the key and nothing happened. Not the battery as far as I know, everything comes on as it should and the headlights aren't dim at all. Just doesn't even try to start.
Any ideas?
Spotted a few in / near lichfield today, while sat outside at the bowling green I saw 2 172 cups and a 182, on the way to lichfield I saw a LY 200 and then on the way back from lichfield I saw another LY 200 who waved and I waved back to.
Just a quick question. I've got a 172 cup and have ordered a set of 205/45/16 tyres. However I'm also going to be ordering some cooksport springs when they come back into stock. I was wondering, will I need spacers when its lowered so that it doesn't rub and if so what size?
Much appreciated.
Basically managed to stall it, when I did it made a loud clunking noise and ever since when in neutral there is no resistance when moving the gearstick to the left. Moving it right it feels fine.
Any idea what the problem might be. I'm thinking a linkage has come loose.
Having had my first car, a 1995 Toyota MR2, for 10 months and it becoming more and more broken, I decided it was time to scratch the Clio shaped itch I had been having for a while.

So my recent purchase came complete with non functional windscreen washers.
I today removed the pump and trimmed down the rubber.
When I pulled the pump out all the screen wash poured out of the washer bottle (I removed the pump with the bottle in situ, upon trimming down the pump and...
I was wondering, my cup has a shift light on the dash, however having spent plenty of time in a 200 i miss the novelty of an audiable shift warning. Basically I miss the beep.
So i was wondering, is there any way i could rig something up to have the beep in a 172 cup.
Thanks in advance.
