as above, I have a Haynes manual that provides info on the more common D4F 712 engine including valve clearances.
As the block is essentially the same, does the D4F-722 have similar clearance values? And if not, what are they?
Thanks all
Hi all,
Need to replace a broken inlet manifold bolt, so I might as well do valve clearances at the same time. My engine is a D4F-722 variant - are the valve clearances any different compared to the more common 712 variant fitted to earlier Clios?
I’ve got a Haynes that refers to the latter...
Stupidly, while changing rocker cover gasket, I've managed to break an inlet manifold bolt on my 1.2 engine (by failing to use a torque wrench) and it snapped. The car runs perfectly fine apart from a SLIGHTLY rougher idle, which is almost unnoticeable. Should I leave the remains of the bolt in...
Replacing a leaky rear wheel cylinder on my 2005 1.2. What size is the nut that secures the brake pipe into the back of the wheel cylinder? I heard it was an 11mm, just checking.
Thanks
It is a GKN shaft...£101! I guess new driveshaft or new boot.
How does the boot seal the driveshaft exactly? I know there's a metal ring bolted to the driveshaft but how does this aid in sealing the oil in? Pictures, anyone?
Sorry for delay in replying mate! Are these going to be decent quality? I'm only asking as there is a circa £90 option on ECP, which I'm assuming is for a reason. I just don't want to be replacing it again further down the line because it's bent or its joints have worn out in 6 months!
Cheers...
Hi all,
NS driveshaft is covered in gearbox oil, leaking from the seal that's incorporated in to it.
Does anybody have the part number for the NS driveshaft seal kit, OEM from Renault?
Driveshaft and its CV joints are in perfect condition so would like to avoid changing the driveshaft if...
I never thought about using hammerite tbh, may buy a can sometime, and how useful is penetrating fluid? Is it a must have for any workshop?
I need to pop some copper grease on the surfaces where the pads meet the calliper, they're quite squeaky brakes at the moment and I need to check they're...
Funnily enough I've been pretty busy with it recently - did an oil and filter change the other week, and the brake fluid needs changing (I ran out of time when the wheels came off to do these brakes). Seems to have a slight coolant leak somewhere but it's due a change soon anyway. It's my first...
Hi all,
First post so go easy!!
Wishing to get into DIY, I replaced my pads and discs just under a month ago. The pedal feels fine and the brakes stop the car quickly enough, however there is a ring of corrosion on the inside edge of the disc (near the hub), which is where the pads aren't...
Hi, this is my first post,
Basically for insurance reasons I had to buy an original Tuner List headunit from ebay to replace the aftermarket one I bought my car with.
My problem is that I have the code, and the radio works (it beeps when I press buttons) however no radio information appears on...
