Ive had a 1.2 16v Dynamique for 5 years now. Its never been keen on starting cold however never used to stall. Recently it has been reving heavily and some times stalls when cold. Is there anything i can do to stop this or reduce the problem>? Thanks Stuart

The loom has been looked at in the past and the metal cover remove and the wires taped up. The orange light in the centre of the dash came on, and this time it wasnt the trottle body! the car then wouldnt go quicker than 20mph! Can i buy a second hand ecu?

My 1.2 16v 2001 plate has been of the road now for 3 weeks! My local auto electrician diagnosed an ECU fault and said I would have to take it to Renault! I did and the dealer has said I need a new ecu at a cost of £688 including VAT and fitting. Is this a good price??! I have only covered 30,000...

Renault arnt going to look at it untill next wednesday!! Anything you guys recomend me poking about with, for the time being?! Want to get the baby back on the road!

Thanks, been told by my local garage that I will have to take it to Renault! Your advice will stop them ripping me off hopefully! Im pretty sure the wires in the loom are fine! any more thoughts?

The metal cover over the loom had rubbed some wires in the loom before, so i had this removed and taped up. could it still be the loom? any help appricaiated dont want to be ripped off! cheers

how long should my exhaust last for?? ive done 23k and the car is 3.5 yeasrs old should i be needing a new one soon??

i did the same! 100 quid including vat and fitting for a seat from a breaker. 170 for new computer plus 60 fitting from renault, rest the computers etc for that price, new wheel and tyre 60 from breaker and thats all i needed!
