Does a V make a good company car?!?

Yowzer! It's a no brainer. Quick and allows you to keep your take away at optimum heating temperature. I bet M3 drivers are queuing up to have that option fitted! Cheers

    Chipsaway, are they any good???

Just dug out the guy's card and his name was Louis Wan. Top bloke, cracking job. Really into his cars as well and was contemplating a 182!

Does a V make a good company car?!?

Excellent skills - I particularly like the choice of material as well - can't beat a bit of brass! I guess having the engine in the back also allows you to keep you Ginsters pasty warm on those long journeys - yet another added practicality. Thanks.

    Chipsaway, are they any good???

Agree with r-jay, their level of skill is what counts. Unsure where you are based but I had two very badly scratched alloys on my 182 and the guy I got in touch with in Guildford did a cracking job, particularly as they are the anthracite wheels. Was a little bit pricey (£140), but you wouldn't...

Does a V make a good company car?!?

Thanks for the info 137699. Sounds like you're in a similar position to myself i.e. privately owned, allowance plus mileage. I will give it a look definetly. Only immeadiate disadvantage is that i can't hang my suit jacket up in the back!!!!!!! I just fancy something different from the...

Does a V make a good company car?!?

Thanks for your views folks. Some of the options put forward have already been thought about, particularly the M3 option - just seems like a lot of spare space to be carting round! Whichever way I go, I realise that a performance car will cost more to run etc., but that isn't my priority...

Does a V make a good company car?!?

Hi everyone, I've owned a 182 for the past 18 months and I'm really enjoying it. I use it as my daily drive and company car and it hasn't missed a beat. However, I'm really coming around to the idea of getting a Phase 2 V and wanted to know whether anyone used one as a daily commute / company...

    Meguiars cleaning products...........

That NXT Generation stuff is really good - Ive used it for a couple of months now on my 182. All the gear cost a small fortune but my god the results are good.

    touch up paint

I was looking for some black gold touch up paint about 2 months ago - I was told it could be a while. My dealership gave me the paint code and the details of their approaved local bodyshop who mixed me some up - £3 for a small pot. Itll be cheaper than goign for an "official" touch up pot.

Is there a hole in my tank

Exactly! Still working out how to use the demister! Always used to driving around with the window slightly open and with the heat exchanges switched on! As for discs all round, Ive found myself stopping about 50 yds short of traffic lights as Im used to self adjusting drums! The dont get me...

Is there a hole in my tank

I was just interested to know whether economy does improve as the engine gets more miles on it. As I say, Im used to spending silly money on fuel, just really didnt have anything to compare the recent purchase to!

Is there a hole in my tank

Quick question - does fuel economy improve after running a 182 in? Im ignoring what the trip computer is telling as its patently not true! Ive had the car a week, done 465 miles and got through 1 1/2 tanks of the 98 RON stuff. Im used to ridiculously high fuel bills (own a 66 bug which...

    182 how much each month

In terms of finance, best thing to do is to grab the Observer on Sunday newspaper and check the Money supplement. Each week it publishes the most competitive personal loans, should you wish to take out an unsecured loan. Ive seen rates as low as 5.7% APR currently, fixed for the duration of the...

    182 Brakes

Hi Rob, Good to hear from you - been a long time. I also caught your perfromance in Lockeroom Towel Fight: The Blinding of Larry Driscol; excellent work. Yeah, took the plunge and got a 182 - picked it up on Monday so justed trying to clock up the running in miles (350 to go!). Its a mild...

    182 Brakes

Thanks Ice Blue, You raise an interesting point. I took it out last night and was a bit vigorous with the brakes, it was a very cold night (-2) but after a short while there was an excellent level of bite and no fade whatsoever. Also, I tried the demo car in high-summer, so I take your...

    1st door ding

I think that the proper use of car parks should become part of the driving test. It never ceases to amaze me the number of morons who clatter into other cars, bang doors on bodywork and raz about as if its a race track. I was nearly taken out by some ned in an X5 last weekend in a car ark. He...

    182 Brakes

Thanks - Ive done 280 miles now. The symptoms can only be described as a small bit of play in the pedal before the brakes kick in, and then a little bit of sponginess (like you get when theres air in brake fluid). Ill run the car in properly, but if the situation doesnt improve, I may get it...

    182 Brakes

Hi evryone, Gratfeul if you could assist. I picked up my 182 on Monday and must say Im very impressed. Only slight concern is that the brakes do not feel as tight as they did on the demo car that I tried (I think it had around 4000 miles on the clock). Am I right in thinking that the...
