Cracking weekend, big thanks to the team for putting it all together.
Even managed a spin at seaman’s early doors in the wet.
Awesome hot lap in the race car.
Look forward to CS24.
I read somewhere recently that the defender is all things to all men. Mine was even a hearse for a day,
He would have loved that Cummins conversion That thing is outstanding. Well done sir.
Morning all,
As above, been through the guide forum with no luck. Can anyone give me a quick guide on how to loop and plug the stock 182 hpas rack please? Can it be done with the rack in place etc. Any photos would be good. Thanks in advance.
Sorry, I posted as you were doing the same. At the minute my current set up just suits me better for a couple of reasons.
Do you know the size code of the belt used in that set up?
Cheers
Cheers for the reply.
The cup set up is on my options list.
So just to confirm, if I stay with the non cup set up the only option is to get the PMS pas delete pulley and run the same 6pk 1305 belt? No shorter belt option?
Afternoon all,
So the 182 alternator is toast, it’s possible it’s the original (50k) so it’s done well. While it’s off I’m going to get all the HPAS out, (EPAS at the ready) so my question is this:
Is there a belt people have run that doesn’t require a Replacement pulley to replace the PAS...
Sounds like a good piece of kid. Hopefully some local testers have one. Just out interest, was your knock from the ball joint or the inner wishbone bushes?
Cheers
If I can’t resolve the problem that’s exactly what I’ll be doing although now I’ve put the car on the floor the bushes look how they should so who knows. The search continues.
Thanks for all the replies.
No wonder they’re an absolute b*****d to fit, the amount of material he’s had to remove is ridiculous.
Does anyone other than powerflex produce up rated bushes that fit?
Yeah I thought it should look like that. Thanks for that. Looks like I’ll have to get my third set in 4 years.
Would the wear on mine cause knocking (quite loud) going over potholes and speed bumps? There’s still a good amount of material around the arb so would that be enough to prevent a...
Not easy to see but there is a clear gap between the bush and the arb. The bushes are less than a year old and due to Covid have covered less than a thousand miles. The clamps are also new and the car is jacked up if that makes any difference. Any input appreciated.
Cheers
Ok. Definitely read that somewhere on the forum or maybe I misread it. Would have tried the second key straight away but it's long gone during previous ownership. It's all on the white plug for now.
Cheers
The immobiliser light remains on and solid as the engine cranks. As above I believe that means the key is recognised? The eml never came on or flashed at any point running the car.
Cheers for the link mate.
Yes it cranks for 2 to 3 seconds then quits. As it cranks the immobiliser light stays on solid which I believe means the key is recognised and ready to start? I'm going to follow your steps on the white plug anyway.
Appreciate the photos.
Cheers
Pretty certain it's not the battery as the ctek has always been on and it's a recent battery which cranks for some time. After the white plug I'll be looking at the injectors.
Cheers
