loved a bit of the drift chat at the break. The highlight was starting my barge (was in group 5 - should have just ran - ha ha) and set off the cayennes alarm. Then some helmet turned up in a C220 CDI wanting some carry on. 10/10 to the newcastle chaps, you got her back running pretty sharpish...
and after more arsing its still not working.
Getting the constant light on dash below the petrol one, rectangular with swiggly line, like a graph.
Always felt this was related to ht/coil pack or spark plugs.
Interestingly no spark from spark plugs now, so yeah going to take a bit more arsing...
Dan - yes, put in new super, but only 1/8 of a tank or a jerry can full.
The tank was nearly empty when I put it in as I knew it would sit for a while.
took off fuel feed behind fuel rail and it was pumping fuel through.
However why she wont fire is becoming shrouded in mystery!
Trying to get car started after sitting in a garage for 2.5 years (!)
Have now done the following checks and swaps:-
New battery - checked with volt meter - fine
Replaced tdc/ crank sensor with new one - fine
Earthed car as precaution with jump leads - checked with volt meter - all fine...
mongo question time, but here goes anyway....
I have compbrakes on my 172, need DS2500s for them and was after suggestions of who sells them to suit the profile of the 4 pot system (I am assuming the pads are different from the normal caliper in the 172/182s).
Any guidance appreciated as I...
on the money? http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/renault/renaultsport-clio/renaultsport-clio-f1-team--low-miles-xenons-folding-mirrors-fsh-long-tax-and-mot/1093085
least you got money back, but given after auction fees and s**t it was probably £450 to the trader to then make '£750' or so seems a bit extreme, but there we go.
Name and shame and get them fucked.
I have this gem, which will be looking for a new home soon: -
R27 F1 Team 197
57 Plate
Low miles at only 31k
Extras and options which included folding mirrors, xenons and cornering lights.
Cambelt changed
Full history, recent oil service and pad change up front.
Two fairly recent front tyres...
f1 will be worth a good bit more than a cup and will maintain a good high value owing to the numbers produced.
key with the f1 is getting one with a good spec and extras on it, the rarer the bette rof course!!
the one I seen was white, but looks smert in orange as well.
doing some reading on them they do seem a good package, low kerbweight and set up for total driving enjoyment. The cost of some of the options from the factory were a bit steep though with touring and performance packs.
:DI think so...
absolutely tasty. heard one buzzing around edinburgh earlier today and sounded cracking. Slammed to the deck and bobbing around the place, absolutely class.
Perfect wee summer toy I think.
