I run cross drilled AP racing discs F&R with no problems other than a little noisey when cold with pagid greys but superb stoppers, in the wet they dont hold water like plain discs.
I run the Snooper S6-R Neo with the laser pick-up mounted in front of the rad on the V6, and gps aerial on the sideglass. It is programable to show speed limits.
Valentines are K band american cr*p detectors. Buy a Snooper or Angel that will do gps downloads and detect gatso, specs, etc. They will not be able to outlaw gps black spot locators.
Mike - Did you make any progress on the Helix clutches? I have asked Robin to get my flywheel back from them as it was balanced for my engine and is now needed.
Just jealous Andy, I have two garages, one holds two Clios [V6 & 182] and the other holds 3 cars and two bikes plus lofts full of Chrissy decs, etc. Both garages look like they been hit by a Tsunami on Boogy Street, New Orleans! The Clios only ever get cleaned when there is an R in the month...
I seem to remember seing a thread off BenR, where, in his opinion a rr power figure was a load of poo? Running scared me thinks!
EVO mag has been pretty honest about Renault cars they have tested thus far, including long term Clios V6 & 182.
Maybe Yozzasport & Angelworks should contact EVO mag and ask them to do a comparison test session between BBRs conversion and one they have done? Its very easy to dispute claimed power figures on a forum. Could be a good marketing tool for the winner of that session, as lots of 172/182 owners...
56.5, 04 Cornish Clotted Cream V6 255. Fully Comp £496.65. Two of the other cars I own are older than me.
As we say in Cornwall: You abe old as t maid yin milkin shed - whatever that means!
EVO mag October edition has an article in the Driven feature on BBR conversion of a 182 upto 202 bhp. Conversion got a 4 star rating by Jethro Bovingdon. But he thought the price was a bit steep at £1850 including fitting. BBR conversions are usually rated pretty highly, especially Mini works.
Same as other Clio 2, you can squeeze plassy cups in front of the ashtray in the lower panel. Steering is quick enough mate unles you want to go hedge hopping!
Recaro Pole Position are about the lightest and still comfortable for road and track use. They are TUV stickered and you can get brackets to fit Clios and still run seat belt tensioners. I have done about 8k in mine.
Who said Renault Parts were cheap? Lets see JT justify the price of a zorst and as for £150 + vat to fit, that makes the labour rates dearer than Lambos and SchumiFiat (sorry Ferrari). I can see there is going to be a big market for replica Renault Parts, especially stuff like exhausts, brakes...
Scott at renaultsportV6.com 01249 720040. Tell him he can flog you the OEM silencer he removed from my car: 04 V6 255. I only done 3000 miles on that from new. Or he might have some of the lightweight TWR s.s.silencers left which sound a bit fruityer and save lots of weight and I noticed...
I was thinking about getting a 100 litre alloy tank fabd so that I get a longer range and can either fill-up when I find Optimax or avoid paying £1.10 per litre on the mway.
You could do loads of different events in this car. In 3 years time most of the rwd class club drivers will be building cars like this OR rear engine rwd Nissans!
The engine cover is damned strong, I usually load all my gear into one of them soft suit carriers and it squashes down nice on the enginer cover. Too much stuff behind the back of the seats kills the sound from the speakers. I was thinking of asking Simmonds in Worcester about making a squashy...
I did the stages around Builth Wells & Forest 17 & 18. Cant say exactly, it is 12 months ago. I have lots of trouble with skirt touching around my local lanes & forecourts and have changed the under apron for a kevlar piece but it still gets well scratched. Part of owning a V6.
Been in the comic [muttering news] for weeks. Scott wanted to bring it down and show it at Castle Combe but Billy went shy on the deal. Scott has done a lot of work on this car. Would make a superb hillclimb and sprint car.
Dave is all scoobied-up now, got an S8 & S9.
