Our yearly visit to Blackpool North west stages is happening next weekend, we are seeded number 33 on the multi venue rally, we are the only Clio crew this year so we hope once again to come home with some silver ware in the 2.0 ltr class, come and watch :approve:

Doe's anyone know where to get a S1600 exhaust copy, think this would be the best Exhaust manifold For a Clio 172 or would a R3 Clio manifold fit ? May need to alter the Shell's Exhaust tunnel.
Looking at building a high spec engine, which engine would be best to start with? clio 172/182 or 197 or use a magane 225 turbo engine as a base, this engine would be NA as it's for rallying.

Hi just wondering what size is the port on a standard 172 at it's smallest after the split? had a engine developed from a standard a 140 head and I'm starting to think it may be to small, mine is 24.3mm at the narrowist part.
On Sunday we are are competing in Hamsterly forrest.
There are 3 stages in the morning in Hamsterly then a service in Barnard castle then its up to Stang forrest for 2 stages, head back to Barnard Castle for finnal service and then back to Hamsterly, for 3 more stages.

Looking for someone to flow bench my head to see if it is ok or needs more work, This head has not bin used yet it and I would want to see if it is any good. It has bin ported and it also has 1mm over sized valves.

Had a look at my camshafts on my clio 172 and apart from the oil ways for the vvt, you could run an inlet camshaft in stead of the original exhaust camshaft. the advantage would be extra lift for the exhaust valve's, and longer duration I asume. has anyone tryed this and what results?
Looking in to putting cams in to my 172 , which I run with tb's, 182 Exhaust manifold, race exhaust and programable ecu. I have a couple of spare cams that I could get re ground. any suggestions.
Also my car is for rallying so no need for smooth running through town centre
