Just to update this thread on how I removed the little blighters. Ok the front was pretty simple as the bottom of the plate sits lower than the plastic bumper so it was easy to just pull the bottom of the plate on one side slowly tearing away the foam pads, once it was moving some gentle...
Lol, seems like hard work to me. Mine look like they've got the stuff the width of the plate, already tried giving them a yank but they don't seem to wanna budge. Just trying to avoid and bodywork damage really. Cheers for the info tho :)
Ok they look like they're just stuck on but I just need to confirm before I try and remove them. Any tips on removal of both front and rear would be very helpful as I'll be swapping my plates over tomorrow. It's a 54 182

btw apologies if this has been posted before, I did a...
Can anyone give me any help with how to get access to the washer reservoir. I filled it up 2 weeks ago and it's all drained off somewhere but I have no idea where so any help where to look for probs would also be helpful.
cheers

btw its a year old 182 if that makes any difference.
My choice would be
1) Cupra - big wheels and great looks + loadsa power
2) Clio 182 - a bit cheaper than an equiv aged Cupra
3) Integ - well what a hideous looking motor, might be a great car but chavvy as hell
If it's written off and you get the cash for it it's the property of the insurance co so you'd have to buy it back off them, you prob know that anyway but not obvious from yer post.
Personally I'd try around the 9k mark, I got my 182 (non cup) new from an internet company for 12.5k with 400 quid extra for the paint, if you write off the vat that you pay on a new car then that's already less than the price this one is up for and it's a Cup which are cheaper from new. Check...
My best advice is to be able to walk away if you don't get the price you're willing to pay, that's the trickiest bit in my experience especially if you love what you see. Have a reasonable figure in your mind and don't go above it, there'll be plenty more out there.
You've been at over 50 incidents and they're still continuing!!!! If they're all at the same place then the council ain't doing a great job to reduce them.
I've never written off a motor (touch wood) so you may be correct but I'm not sure what expires means? If it simply ends the current cover for that car then surely any remaining ncb can be used against the next policy or continuance of the existing against a new motor???
Sorry I'm just...
If you can wait for the new model then that's prob the best bet unless you can afford to get a 182 and then replace it if you fancy the new model. Having said that the 182 is great and at 11k is a good price for what you get. From the pics the new Clio looks like a 206 so the sports model...
Thanks for the replies. I know what you mean about treating the car as they deserve it but didn't notice the 98 recommended sticker the other day (had the car from new for 10 months now) so thought it'd been set up for 95. I'm totally non techy when it comes to engines so not sure if it'd...
Hi all,
The site was recommended by somebody I know so i thought I'd take a look.
Just wondered what fuel people use as the 182 recommends 98 RON but I normally just put the 95 stuff in. Is this going to cause any probs in the future?
cheers
