If you're looking for another powder coaters, Bettablast at Shiremoor come highly recommended. They did a great job on mine, and £40 per corner (if you take the tyre off) isn't bad at all.
I might give that a try, thanks. I believe H&R will do them but you have to send them over to Germany(?) and they charge a small fortune. I was kind of hoping there was a UK-based company that would be able to have a look at them and not try and pull my eyes out.
I have a rather old set of H&R coilovers sitting in my garage. They were on my cup a couple of years ago but I had to take them off due to one of the shocks leaking.
Does anyone know if there is anywhere that can refurbish these for a reasonable price? I'm wanting to put them back as I'm...
Surely someone must have video'd the 0-60!
Show me the video!
If I find a job sharpish I'll have some redundancy money to blow and I need to be pursuaded to go for a supercharger over a DC5.
I dont know why everyones saying its overpriced. If it was standard then yes it would be but if you were to sell the mods that came with the car it would take it down to like 4k at least! Assuming you got a couple of hundred off the price, that means you got a mint low miler cup for £3800 which...
Oh and in terms of lowering. The fronts will go as low as you want. I've got the rears as low as they go on the platforms and its just about low enough for me.
My Cup's on H&R's and are imo a good all-rounder for everyday driving and occasional track days. They could maybe do with being a toucher stiffer for track days but then I'd whinge about them when using them on the road. I'm planning on getting some stiffer rear springs for track
I've got exactly the same problem as Ali.
I want them lower but still want to be able to slide them.
Schweppy - Does it just require drilling new holes in the recaro side mounts to get them to fit on the cobra x-low subframes?
Recaro subframes have slots already out of them to mount the pre-tensioners but theyre expensive.
I'm sure you could modify others by cutting a couple of holes out of them. Whether its safe to do this I dont know
You need Brentacre in your life. I'm glad I paid the extra over Bell to go with them tbh
Equivalent conversation with Brentacre:
Me - I've stripped the rear of my car.
Brentacre - No problem. I'll amend your policy free of charge. Can I help you with anything else?
Me - No thanks. Bye
