20kg dont make much difference at all!! not noticible anyway!!! not worth the hassle of loosing the rears and not being able to take passengers!! i can tell u that from experience
loosing the rear dont make any difference at all tbh!! i did it with mine and now my rears are back in!!! might b a good idea to remove the rear if u intend to track the car....... only too allow space to fit in a spare set of track wheels and tools ;)

after having the rear bench out for what seems like ages (a year) i wanna put it back in for practicality!!

dude i am in the same boat with another car!! i put my car on ebay and had a buyer in 5 days!! deposit paid and all then the day the car was due to go too its new owner he didn't turn up and since then i hav not spoken to him!!!

looks like ur buying a really nice car m8!! the h&r's make so much difference but its not till u get it on track u really see where the money spent on them goes!!! my cup on h&r's feels so much more capable than my mates trophy round track!!!
u dont hav to wear helmets on the ring because it is still classed as a road not a track!! i wore a helmet on my first couple of laps but then didn't bother for the rest!!!

there is another clio ( mk1 ) running just over 152db!! that is also runnin 2 18s in a ported sound wall!!
my show car runs 147db with 4 12s but the install was built for looks over anything else!!
i would agree if u want it loud then 18s are the way to go but for better sq u would b better...

i would give a vxr a go anytime!! if i loose who cares!! as long as ur happy with ur car and its performance then it dont matter!! there is always cars out there faster than urs!!
i have never driven a vxr but hav driven other clio...
i cannot talk about the Viper but i hav a Maxogen!! i gotta admit i never got the car dyno's b4 but with the Maxogen and a full exhaust system and de cat the cup runs over 178hp!! so defo not a drop in power there!! however i am still not convinced its better than a ITG Panel with a decent CAF...
wot sort of Torque was ur puttin out Mark?? mine peaked at around 156 to 157 at 4500 right too 5600rpm!!
it seems lookin at the graphs that mine is quite different to others!! but it looks like all the near standard clio's drop in torque at around 3500rpm b4 they rise up again!!
they always say a standard 172 will run around 165hp and a standard 182 around 175hp!!
apart from a few cars that shocked ( both high and low figures ) most were within a few hp of what is expected

from my experience H&R's make the car so much better than standard!! it really transforms the car!! especially if u get it set up properly!!! ok with setup and H&R's u wont get much change for a grand but IMO its worth it!!
