Ive Been Having Problems With My Car Starting, Oam Going To Try And Take The Starter Off To Test It, Has Any1 Ever Done One Of These, If So What Are They Like To Do And How Do You Do Them? What Needs To Be Removed, Etc?? Any Help Guys Please!!!

its a 1.8 16v, i was driving when the cd player whent on, the lights whent dim, like the battery was goin dead, then it was ok for a few dyas, did it again, now when you try and start it, it just buzzing really loud instead and the rev counter jumps up and down?? any ideas cus iam stuck!!

i dont know if this is true i heard it a while back, if your cv joints are knackered when turning left, then its the right side thats knackered, and vice versa!!

on some cars high lift cams will make the idle keep rising and dropping, but 1500 is still a bit high, if they are good cams and have a custom remap and timing adjusted proply, you should get a good return off them, but they have to be set up correct!!

also the tick over problem, try the lambda sensor, take it out and clean it, or disconnect it and see if it idle's better!!

air intake sensor, could you mean air flow meter, dont think clio 16v's have them though, ive had 2 now and both have been exactly the same wiht the gear stick moving, i dont think you can cure it, but try the dog bone engine mount near the gearbox and see if there's play in that!!

I have an oil leak on my clio 16v, goin to have a look at weekend, been told on here it could be the oil pressure sender loose, its coming from under the exhaust manifold and is dripping onto the offside driveshaft, were is the oil pressure sender and what am i exactly looking for? is it easier...

any1 no of a quick way to stop heat shields on the manifold rattling, and how do you take them off!!!!!!

your lambda sensor is in your exhaust manifold at the bottom of end, its a sensor that measures your air to fuel mixture and sends signals to the ecu to adjust accordingly!!

Re: valver porblems Ive had a 16v before and it never tourque steered like this before it must be a quick one, but the steerings knocking aswell. and for the cooling, if even you thrash it the oil temp hardly moves!!

Leaking what, oil water, power steering fluid?? if its water go to a garage and have it pressure check, if its oil, jet wash it all off then run the engine and watch it!!

Ive just bought my 2nd clio 16v, naples red, m reg, it has a few problems i thought id check to see if any1 knows the answer to or has fixed these problems!! if so how do you fix them!! 1. it runs very cold, i did over a 100 mile and it never got up to half way on the dial, iam thinking either...

i work for ford and it can fail on the rear or front wishbone bushes is ther bad enough, iam not a mot tester but it shouldnt fail on the shocker top mounts, there should be a little bit of play in them but there not that hard to do, if you need to know how give me a shout, the bottom arm bushes...
