MOT Fail!! Suspension Mounts/Bushes????

Can a car fail MOT on suspension top mounts and rear bushes??

It's an immaculate, low mileage 3yr old Ka...

...or is the garage talking sh*t?

(ps garage who failed it IS the garage who will be doing the work).

If there is excessive play in them they would fail it. Sounds odd for a car so young, and especially one that's not a Renault. lol

Ford's are notorious for having rubbish suspension bushes. they are crappy ones that Fraud's saved money on. Whack some Powerflexy polybushes and they'll last forever!

And yes if there is too much play it will fail my friend.

i work for ford and it can fail on the rear or front wishbone bushes is ther bad enough, iam not a mot tester but it shouldnt fail on the shocker top mounts, there should be a little bit of play in them but there not that hard to do, if you need to know how give me a shout, the bottom arm bushes are better left to the garage!!

Apparantly it'll cost £80 to put right... if you think that's resonable, then I'm happy.
