My front wiper motor went on my 172, so I have replaced the whole motor and linkage with a used unit from the scrappy, fitted it all no problem, however on reconstruction the lower parts of the arms were scratching two little semi circles at the bottom of the mywindscreen, so i whipped it out...

i bought trade, a week later the heater resistor pack gave up. Dealer didnt want to know

but it runs so much better on tesco 99 than it does on pikey 95 octane fuel

does anyone have a guide on how to fix the resistor packs? google says its only a simple resistor that needs changing? any help is hugely appreciated

If the cambelt has been done, and its in good condition, seems fair to me.

Thanks Fred, okay so the belt i pictured is the aux belt, yes? So is there only two belts? the aux and the cambelt? Do you get what i mean about the arch lining, something did make a horrible noise this morning....

Okay, so ive taken the wheel off and removed the arch lining but can't see alot, i can definately see one belt which i presume and am hoping is the cambelt. See pictures below, however when taking off the lining noticed what appears to be high velocity belt whipping damage is the only way to...

i tried an allen key to sart with, but it just mishaped, cheap allen keys i think... turning the 21mm nut just spins the strut now, what does buzz gun mean buddy?

Went to fit my coilovers this afternoon, first step, loosen topmount nut, FAIL. Basically ive rounded off the 6mm hex hole on the strut, any ideas to get this off now?

Just a quick one for the 172 buffs in here....... Did any of the phase 2 come with clear side repeaters as standard instead of the amber ones? Mine has clear side repeaters and was curious if the previous owner had changed them to this, as this is the only thing im thinking is non standard...
