Changed the gearbox oil today, followed some instructions i'd found on here. But when i took the airbox off i noticed a little pipe with a plastic filler and cover on the top of the gearbox. The guide said to fill through the butterfly plug half way down until oil starts to drain out of it...

I'm getting through about an expansion tanks worth of coolant per month... is this normal? No sign of water in oil (or vice versa), it's not overheating, no sign of leaks on driveway, doesn't smoke from what I can tell in the mirrors and it seems to be running ok?!!..... Any common probs to check?

My back box fell off this morning, and after much umming and ahhing I've bitten the bullit and ordered a K-Tec stealth system. Anyone got any hints and tips on making it easy to fit (apart from taking it to a garage)? Any Special tools needed? How long did it take you? Thanks!

I need to check my drivers side engine mount. Can someone tell me the torque settings for the bolts I will need to remove? (3 into the engine block, 4 into the chassis and 1 through the mount iirc)

One garage says its the CAT another says its the springs that join the CAT to the front section? The springs hold the join together and provide flexibility, apparently. I can remember seeing them under there at some point but can't picture how they work. I can't be bothered to get my knees...

first technical post on the forum!! my drivers seat does not move forward on the rails when I try to let a passenger in the back seats with the handle thing on the seat back. the passengers side front seat does is this normal for my mark/phase of clio? its a 2002 172, sorry not really up to...
