You should definitely consider paying out a bit more initially for a Sky+ box. It justifies the package price as you know that when you're not at home you still won't miss the things you want to watch. That's as long as you remember to set the programme to record before you go out of course :)...
Does anyone know of any online stores that supply parts. I'm trying to get a rough idea of how much it would set me back for a brand spanking new Mk3 rear bumper. I had a quote of £350 from the garage that do all the work for the dealership that I got my car from and I'm wondering how that...
Oh yea, I also don't think my friend is aware I'm going through my insurance. She emailed me this morning asking if I'm talking to her and I said yes. She then went on to tell me that she has had enough of her job and has resigned. That makes me think that her insurance company haven't notified...
I registered a claim with my insurance company last week for this accident and at the weekend I received a letter notifying me that the company insuring the person I'm making a claim against is connected to the company that insures me. They basically wanted to re-assure me that a different firm...
Actually that's the one thing I haven't checked yet. Looking at the damage externally I'd be surprised to see ripples in the boot floor but I didn't witness the strength of the impact so it's possible.
It's not the fact she hit my car that has caused issues, yea fair enough driving into a stationary car is a bit of a 'Dur' moment but it's an accident and accidents happen. It's the bare face lies she has been telling that's caused problems.
But it doesn't matter now, I'm not warning her about...
To be honest I'm fairly tempted to go through my insurance now anyway. The bumper has been slightly mis-shaped by the bump, the paint has cracked around the main scuff and there's more smaller marks that I didn't notice before.
A couple of places I got a quote from said they could heat the...
I was thinking of doing that. Phoning her and asking her if she's sure it wasn't her as I have to go through insurance and no doubt the police would need to get involved and also mention that there will be a witness statement. But I don't think she's bright enough to understand the seriousness...
I don't really want to go through insurance for how small the damage is. Don't think it's worth screwing up my no claims and premium to be honest. Can't say I wouldn't wanna see her sh*t herself when she gets done for driving off though :).
As you said, stooping to her level. Although my mind did briefly wander on to the Pug 206cc she is hoping to get fairly soon. But I scrubbed that thought fairly quickly :quiet:
Now that I like :D
You've hit the nail on the head there. The more I push for the truth from her the more I'm getting fustrated so I'm getting the damage sorted and then leaving it at that. She just emailed me to say "i had a look at mine in FULL daylight and theres not ONE mark on my car. . . " and she again...
Had a look last night. I couldn't see any blatant evidence of contact but her car isn't exactly in pristine condition and it was dark. Picking one of the marks on her car as a match to mine wouldn't have been easy but hopefully looking at it during the daytime might throw something up.
I can't see her backing down to be honest. I phoned her twice, made her aware that it was witnessed, told her about the paint. At one point she tried reversing the whole thing by calling me and telling me she wasn't very happy about the situation of me phoning her up and that she didn't need to...
Another annoying thing is that every time I park up somewhere I pick a parking bay that I think is the safest place for my car and it's the same for where I parked my car last night.
Guess I'm going to have to re-think my parking strategy :)
I have a nice 3 inch scuff on my rear bumper which needs dealing with which is bad enough on it's own but when it was done by a so called "friend" who then denies all knowledge of it happening it makes it about 1000 times worse.
The car was parked outside another friend's flat at the time and...
Log into your router and on the first page you see (I think) there should be a button at the bottom called Sky Test. Click this and see if it produces an error code for you. If it does, ring Sky. Good luck with that by the way. If the test passes then it is your computer that has a problem.
You could do it on the Chocolate. But it wasn't the simplest of tasks. My mates girlfriend had one and it took about 10 minutes of reading the manual and playing with the phone to get it done for her. Pure hassle. I'm assuming it would be done in the same way on the Prada.
**Edit** Just...
Don't think I can really justify paying £80/£90 just to use the stalk so I'll probably do the same and just get used to reaching for the head unit instead.
Yea I'm not too keen on taking my dash off. To be honest I'm not bothered too much about getting the display connected and working so I'm trying to find an adaptor that will just connect to the stalk only, so that I won't have to get the dash off.
Okay, so there are a number of threads relating to getting the stalk control to work with aftermarket HU's. I've gone through them all and also checked with websites selling leads and adaptors but I am still confused :S . Is it actually possible to get the stalk control to work with an...
If you just need to see whether it works at all you can use an AA battery. Connect the sub's leads to bothe ends of the battery and you should see the speaker push out one time.
Excuse me if I've missed the point of your question completely :S, just thought i'd share my method of testing for...
But it's sh!t though. Bought one a few weeks back and ended up taking it back to the shop I got it from. Radio 1 was the strongest signal I could get and even that would drop out while driving around.
It looked great on my car though :approve:
My MPG sits around the 29 mark for normal in-town driving and after a bit of motorway driving it's at about 33. But the cars only done 700 miles so far so I would have thought the engine won't be at it's most efficient yet.
P.S. Nnice choice of car by the way :D, I have the exact same as you...
