this is the first example of terminal engine failure on one of these engines that i have heard of.they are normally pretty bombproof. im pretty sure it is component related,and will be covered under warranty.

you can hear the turbo spooling up on these engines,it is normal.as has been said cambelt changes are vital,and they do appriciate regular oil changes with good quality oil. other than that,they perform well,can achieve over 70 mpg without trying too hard,and are a nice drive. steve
