Does anyone know if disconnecting the battery will reset and clear any ghosts / fault codes from the ECU on a MK2 172 or do I need it to be reset by renault?

Hi, Not been using my car much, been on the motorbike, but now its getting cold and have been using the 172 and it has started to go into limp mode again. How much did renault charge you to reset the ECU? Cheers

My 172 has developed a problem, usually when hitting a bump in the road. The orange electrical faluire light ( box with the wiggly lines in it) comes on and the power is completely cut. If I turn off the ignition off and turn the ignition back on, the car is then fine, until I hit another...

Yeah thats the hose. I got a local place to cut this off and put a new male screw end on the end of the existing brake line and now have a replacable piece of flexi brake hose with a new bit of brake pipe into caliper. Seems to work fine.

Definately a small leak somewhere in the rad. Tried some RAD Weld, seems to have sorted it. Not sure how long for though!!!! Does the fan rub on the rad then?

Has anyone got any notes or manuals on stripping the caliper down, or has anyone got any second hand ones for sale. Rang Renault today and they have no stock apparently, appears to be a renault only part. Also best place for rear disc and pads, any ideas?

My 2003 172 appears to have a binding rear offside brake caliper, it is not noticeable when driving and the only reason I have noticed is because when cleaning it the other day, the wheel was alot dirtier with thick brake dust!!! Anyone got any ideas on solving this or is it a new caliper? If...

Checked that the rack is tightened to the sub frame and it is. Thanks for the direction though. How much did it cost for new strut bearings and are these easy to fit, did you use genuine renault ones?

Thanks for the advice. Had the car checked again today. Found that one of the lower arm bolts had come loose. When the bolt was taken out and checked the thread ws knackered through over tightening. New bolt should hopefully solve bazar steering sensation. As for the creaking. this is...
