I'll be using it for the track day trophy series. It's only a novice series and just 5 rounds per year. I've got other car stuff going on and can't justify that much money on the AST's (if you can get them)
I should have put budget up :fail:
Didn't want to spend much more than say £850 if possible.
I've got the Spax RSX kit on another car but it's a road car. Just wondered if there was anything else out there that would suit. Just to clarify this will see no road mileage at all.
My sister has one as a company car. Its come to the end of its lease and she's bought it. Are they reliable? Anyone had engine issues?
Thanks in advance :D
Anyone got the ktr coilover kit? Is it overly stiff? I don't want to lower the car more than 30mm and want to keep some ride quality.
Would I be better off with eibach springs and standard but new dampers?
I can't see anything when I searched so thought I'd ask instead.
What tools do I need to change the rear discs? Has somebody done a thread on replacement of them?
Thanks in advance
Looking at fitting one to the 172FF I've just bought as the current one is a bit loud for my tastes. The k-tec stealth one in mild steal looks like a good buy and video on their website looks usefull, but is it any noisier than the factory one?
Does anyone know what oil temps 172's run at on track without a cooler? I don't really want to thrash round blissfully unaware of what damage I may be doing.
My o4 plate 172 has developed a poor cold start problem. Turns over ok. Once it has started it seems fine for the rest of the day.
Any ideas before I take it to the stealer?
Anyone done it? This is for a poss engine swap into my Escort Mk2 track/rally car. It's running a 2.0 pinto on 45's at the mo but would love to put the Clio engine into it :D
Mine have worn quite thin and need replacing. Is it possible to fit new ones whilst keeping the old abs rings and bearings. Also, can you buy the abs rings and bearings separate?
Thanks in advance
Thought of mounting the buttons on the wheel. Someone must have done it already, what with the excellent quality/durability of the factory wheel
