That seems awfully fast for a standard 172 cup. I have done 15.1 at Santa Pod in my dad's 220bhp Datsun 240z track car which is a hell of a lot faster than my cup! If that times correct, well done mate.

I've just bought a tow bar for my Cup off a guy on here. Any Clio tow bar will fit a 172/cup, not sure about 182's because of the exhaust. It's crazy that they're not legally allowed to tow, I don't really understand it. If you do a search, there's quite a useful thread about this from a while...

I've just put some Avon ZV5's all round on my 172 cup. Had Toyo Proxies on before and they didn't give me much confidence in the wet which is when I want decent tyres. Gotta do something seriously wrong to lose control in the dry so I'm not too bothered about having good dry weather tyres...

I find the accelerator pedal is too high in my Clio to heal & toe smoothly to be honest. Can do it much better in my Dad's 240z track car. The problem doing it smoothly at slow speeds could be the fact that the slower you're going the harsher the brake is anyway. That's why you have to feather...

Here's another picture of it sitting on my drive. There's not a scratch or stone chip in sight! And it still drives perfectly. I'm finally happy again :), just gotta hope the scumbag that nicked it gets put down now!
