its located right at '12 o'clock', where the bell housing meets the block. will probably be under a few water pipes but it fairly easy to get to. it has a metal frame about 3inches long with a black plastic bit that points down, in the middle of it. two 10mm bolts hold the frame at either end...
is it covered by a used car warrenty? would be about £100 inc. labour, if not.
It needs a new sensor £20,
probably a new loom section £20 (because the connector changed after a certain age),
fitting (only two 10mm bolts and a bit of soldering if the loom is needed),
then a clip check to erase...
:S ??? it does have spark plugs. it differs for the 1.4s, and 1.6s because it has a coil pack instead of individual ingnition coils. maybe your getting confused.
bent valves, smashed piston, con rods, crank, camshafts, caps, head.
depends if ur lucky or not tbf. wont know until u take the head of and have a look. could be a new engine job
would'nt bother with uprated spark pkugs. Reanult have released a tech note about this. some aftermarket ones mess about with the k-line/diag-line. basically the computer measures the spark plug resistance to determine if it misfiring or not. when no gen ones are used it messes up this measurement.
its very hard to say what it is. common stuff includes plugs, leads, coils, 02 sensor, but it could even be something more mechanical like a sticking valve. the last clio sport i did with a misfire, was just lack of fuel, lol.
Good new is if you eml has been on, it should have stored the...
aux belts kits on 182s are a pig to do if uve never done one before. You have to work through small casting holes some of the time, which require double wristed arms. the first one i did one, i snapped the new tensioner trying to get it on.
i would do the pair while your at it. the little ball-bearing in them sticks open and then water comes out. when the get really bad they'll empty you washer bottle overnight. Very annoying. the bumper is fairly easy to remove, just take your time. once u get it off, u'll see there it a huge nut...
lies. its the abs unit that does the pulsing. it has a series of valves in it. longstory short, they open and close to give the pulsing effect.
the abs will still work as normal with 4 pots fitted.:)
unlike with other recalls, renault aren't paying the dealers for the time and parts to carry this job out, like a normal warranty claim. Their answer to the dealers for this was something along the lines of 'this is a sales opportunity'. most dealer do a 25 point check when you car enters the...
power steering switch is a common one. if you have a big spanner set (crow feet are ideal) then its a two minute job. just unscrew the old one the slap in the new one.
as far as rear axle bushes, thats extremely rare at that mileage. does the rear end 'Knock' at all over bumps?
