They were really helpful which surprised me!! She checked the warranty and said it qualified for 3 years or 60,000 miles. Although the car was registered on 02/08/2006, the warranty commenced sometime in June, I assume this was when it was delivered to Cyprus? I though I'd push my luck and ask...
I have been reading posts regarding Imports from Cyprus. Some are saying that if the vehicle has come from Cyprus it will only qualify for 2 years, this is different to what Motorpoint are telling me, they are 100% sure it will qualify for the full 3 years. What is so different with Cyprus...
Anyone know what the score is with Renault imports from Cyprus, the dealer said it would still qualify for the 3 years manufacturer warranty?
Any help appreciated..
Thanks.
I'm fingers crossed I reckon I was about 40 in a 30, no excuses I know!! I have always seen them with the windows open before so am hoping I may be lucky on this occasion!!
Just passed a safety camera van, I was a bit of over the limit, it was parked on the verge but had the rear windows still closed (usually I have seen these open with the camera visible). Can these still detect speed with the windows closed or are they setting up in readiness??
Thanks..
Renault have diagnosed the problem as the Fuel Sender unit (fuel pump), £409 to supply and fit (£585 in total with there diagnostic charge) are they takin the pi$$ or is this reasonable. Are there any after market suppliers that would do the same item at a fraction of the price?
Thanks.
Thanks gtvlew that sounds pretty similar to what mine is doing, no surprises but still no news from Renault. Hopefully it is as simple as a new plug as this will keep the £££ down. I do hate chucking money at the Renault monkeys!!
Lol to the banana, I actually suggested that this morning to the guys at work.
16V jon, that sounds like a fair comment but shouldn't Renault be able to diagnose something like that pretty easily?? Is that expensive?
Ha ha that is the question, it's still at Renaults now and the £££ clock is ticking!!! Will keep you updated. Can just imagine the Renault Tech scratching his head over a cup of tea and fag laughing that's another £45 for half hour!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Have a problem with my 4.5 year old 172 (21,000 miles, FRSH etc). Just started juddering for no reason and lost all power. RAC came out and plugged their computer in and couldn't find any problems, no warning lights etc. RAC towed it upto Renault who advised there was a £45 + Vat per half hour...
Fred, if you could get the part number I would appreciate it (if its not to much hassle). Now going to my local tyre fitter 2mrw who have quoted £70 inc VAT and fitting.
Yeah sorry it is a 172 mk2, these are from the EBC factory in Northampton and being fitted there so assume they are the new ones, how long have they been out?
Reckon I need some replacement brake pads, EBC are just down the road to me and have quoted £69.95 for the fronts (Green stuff) inc fitting + VAT. Is this a fair price and are they any good?
Due to go down in 30 mins....
Thanks.
Hi,
occasionally when driving along I get the handbrake and stop lights flash, anyone have ny idea what this could be? It's on a 2002 172 (18k miles).
Thanks.
This guy is superb and very cheap compared to Dent Devils etc. I had dents taken out of 2 panels and he charged me £40 or something like that..... bargain. Not sure what areas he covers but I know he does work for Aston Martin at Hemel Hempstead, I'm in Northampton by the way.
Dent Magician...
