Hello everyone. Looking for some advice please.. My partners clio 1.2 16v 03 plate has recently started misfiring, eml light flashing then going off completely then coming on as a solid light, I've changed the coilpack and spark plugs but still exactly the same problem, I've had it plugged in...

I did say that to him but he wouldn't listen, he doesn't want the car anymore which is why he's going through insurance hoping they'll write it off.

I don't have a picture at the moment.

Whether they think it'll be a write off.. Nothing is bent, it just needs what I put in my first post, it wasn't his fault, someone pulled out in him so won't cost him a penny.

Just wanted to get a general opinion.. Isn't that what forums are for?

Hello.. A mate of mine crashed his car the other day, 2003 Clio mk2, needs a new bumper, wing, grill and fog light.. In black. He's wondering whether itll be a write off as it's going through his insurance. any ideas? Cheers.

Posting for a mate of mine. He has a 1.2 Clio dynamique, when he accelerates through the gears it seems to struggle and it judders. If he revs up to about 4000rpm the toxic fume warning light flashes until he reduces his speed. Anyone have an idea on what this could be? Cheers

Sounds like the same noise I have. I'm having my lower idler changed on Friday as I think it's that. I'll let h kno.

Bit more info for u, the noise seems to go away if I press the clutch whilst driving along, and coast.

i put some water on it and the noise didnt change, does this definately take the idler out of the situation? how much movement should there be on the belt, like twisting sideways? could it make that noise if the belt wasnt tight enough?

I think it's a new belt tho. I can still see the yellow writing on it, saying contitech or something. Any more ideas.

Ok Mate. I'll try that, if it goes away, will that tell me it's the idler?

The cambelt kit was done in jan and aux belt was done at same time but not the kit as far as I'm aware. It gets a tiny bit louder under accelaration.

When i lock the car with the central locking button, the doors lock but the boot doesnt, any ideas on what could be causing this? thanks!

Yes. Thirsty compared to a 172, boring to drive. Interior is fairly comfortable and more room than a Clio.

do u reccomend these? im not to sure on brakes etc, do i need to buy new abs rings aswell? cheers.
