I went for this one - couldn't find anything better or cheaper (price includes delivery) and it's height adjustable.

Only other easy thing to check is the fuses - iirc there is a fusebox located in the engine compartment, check them all.
You could always try phoning your local renault garage and ask to speak to the service dept and see if they will give you any help - although if they are like any renault...
Having the handbrake on or off will make no difference when doing the front brakes.
The easiest way is to use a G-clamp, but you can use anything to hand to lever it back in - just watch you don't damage the rubber seal.
It is also recommended that you open the bleed nipple on the caliper...
If you are in the Edinburgh area then I would avoid chips away at all costs - I got him to sort a few chips on my rear wheelarch and he made a complete arse of it, the paint shrunk and started to crack 2 days later. It cost me £125 last year - complete waste of money. You would be better off...
Canon review (SD550 is the same as the Ixus750)

Sony p200 review

Both get decent reviews.
The Chips Away guy in Edinburgh is crap as well - £120 and the paint lasted 2 days before it shrunk and cracked - it didn't look that good before it shrunk either.
What about this one:

I have had a few Sony digi cameras and they have all been amazing - much better than Nikon IMO
Sounds like it might be tripping the polyfuse on the motherboard - this fuse may also cover the keyboard and mouse making it appear that the system has crashed.
Do the keyboard lights stay on (caps lock etc) after you connect the camera??
Best way I have ever found for cleaning windows is alcohol and plain white kitchen towel.
Mix 70% alcohol with 30% water and spray it on the windows and use the kitchen towel to wipe it off. The water does the cleaning and the alcohol evaporates quickly leaving a smear free finish very easily -...
Anyone know if this one (JVC GZ-MC100) is any good??

I guess it could be done, but you would need to lose the airbag. The airbag cover part of the dash cover is fixed in place by the 3 screw holes in the yellow bit - if you removed that bit you wouldnt have anything to secure it to. If the cover isnt secure and the airbag goes off then it probably...

It aint going to go there without removing the airbag. You would probably be better trying to get it into the glovebox.
Go for it.
I bought a 98 A4 last year for £8k (was £32k new) with 58k - it is now on 75k and runs like a dream. The car has had no problems and doesnt have any squeeks/rattles despite being 7 years old - they really are built to last.
