Or you can use a large spanner as a puller, but I can find the picture to explain ! :o
Chester's nice ! :) Well im on 40,000 on an 04 plate so i'm definatly due ! looks like I'll have to book in with you, I'll have to find out when I can get a day off.
I just received a quote from a local french car specialist, just a small set up, but next door to where I work, so thought i'd ask because of the convienience. They came back with 570 quid and they would need the car for 2 days as it's a fiddly job. I declined and quoted some of the prices found...

I'm just outside Stafford, but I won't be getting it done until next year, I'm just putting the feelers out to find any trusted local garages. I know what you mean about the throttle, I previously had an MR2, although I'm fine with it now.
Snatched this bit of footage off one of my DVD's, some of you may have seen it. Clarkson comparing sport tyres and budget ones, using a 172. Quite interesting outcome, do you still want to buy budget tyres ?

I think mine must have been bypassed at sometime. On auto position they just work intermittent, no matter if it's raining of not, and the sensitivity doesn't make any difference. I can live with it though.
I've been sending a few emails out to breakers, trying to get hold of a heater resistor pack, but to no avail. I suppose with it being a common fault they are snapped up. Any suggestions where i might try ? Don't want to be paying full wack for a new one.
Exactly the same thing happened to me today. Got in this morning and the fan was blowing full and wouldn't turn down, turned it off and back on again, and ended up with nothing ! Went about 15 miles with my head out of the window because it was so hot ! Then the next thing I realise it's working...
I have this concern about not having a spare in my 182, and came across these

I think I'll get one, combined with a foot pump, it could get you out of a spot of trouble. At least if it's a nail in the tyre scenario ! ;)
Done a search, but can't find a positive answer. Is there a space saver that will fit a 182. it doesn't have to be a full spare, so to save space in the boot, just something to get me home ? There's no way I want to be waiting over an hour to be recovered. More piece of mind than anything.
After you remove the switch unit and take off the rocker switch ( it just levers off the pivoting lugs) On the top and bottom of the switch there is chrome --v- shaped springs, the v part catches on a similar slot in the rocker switch to hold it in the 'on' position. You'll see what I mean when...
