    Heater resistor fault

Hey guys.. I'm experiencing a problem with my heater blowers. They are stuck on full whack regardless of speed shown on the climate control unit. I'm told this is because a transistor has gone faulty in the heater resistor. Is there a guide on here which tells me where it is, in a...

    Hosepipe ban, what technique?

So they're saying a hosepipe ban is imminent. Whats your plan in terms of maintaining a detailed car? I'm tempted to buy some ONR, but wondered what people do without it?

    What would you do?

The girl across the road reversed into my car the other week whilst I was sat in my house. The drivers wing was cracked and needed replacing, so after her saying she would fix it she inevitably changed her mind when she heard the cost. So it went through insurance. I got the new wing put on...

    A good once over..

The good weather warranted some suds, polish & wax.. Technique used: 1. Snow foam (Halfords poor spec pressure washer shampoo) 2. Left it to work for about 5 minutes 3. Cleaned the wheels using an APC (Sharnagloss), wheel brush and a noodle-type wash mitt to agitate 4. Rinsed snow foam off...

    Suggestions

I've written up a list of the detailing products I have already. To more experienced detailers I just want to know what essential products I am missing? Is there anything on that that I shouldn't use/be careful with? Pre-wash/shampoo Halfords pressure washer shampoo Autoglym bodywork shampoo...

Chemical Guys - Strong Wash (Bug Bugger)

I bought this (amongst a couple of other things) from cleanyourcar.co.uk.. It says it is a tar, bug & grime remover. I kind of bought it just off that, is it a good product to use for these purposes? I have the Autoglyn tar remover, which I found to be rubbish. Having researched more, I...

    Missed calls.. annoying

I couldn't find anything specific to this although I'm sure it has been brought up before. I have an iPhone 4 with Orange and the fecking thing keeps sending me Missed Call Alerts. Oil top up.. (contains n00b)

I topped up my oil today because it was at the minimum on the dipstick. I topped her up with 5w30 fully sythentic oil (castrol). After I did it, I was told by a friend that the oil I used is more for volkswagens etc because it's thinner and lasts longer or something.. Have I done something...

    Tracking (I think?)

I had a new clutch and drive shaft put on a month or so ago. The car is running fine, however since it got done I've noticed that when I'm driving in a straight line the steering wheel is slightly off centre. I could live with it for a couple of weeks but it's beginning to p*ss me off now...

    Aerial robbed..

Some scuzzy person robbed my stubby aerial which was worth a massive £5.. I know they are easy/cheap to replace but I don't want to have to keep buying aerials just because I shouldn't have to. Are there any good stubby anti-theft aerials that I can get? Or atleast something which is harder to...

    1.2 16v Clutch

My clutch has been juddering when setting off in first gear, nothing major but still annoying. Driving home today, got onto the slip road to get on the M60 and clutch started to slip, high reving without really picking up speed. Took it easy on the way back. The clutch pedal has gone much softer...

Grey, non sport with a 172 rear bumper and 172 anthracite alloys on the M62 at about 4.45pm today. Looked like my cars brother! I'm presuming this car is on here because it wasn't poorly modified. Looked good!

    Tyre shine products

Can anybody recommend a good, long lasting tyre shine product? I've ran out of autoglyn tyre shine (foam type), it was good but just didn't last very long. Is the paint on stuff better? Thanks in advance.

    farecla wax top

Just seen this shown on fifth gear, according to their experiment it is very good. it was applied to an 8 year old alfa romeo and subjected to quite an intense test. gloss test results were over 90%, which is similar to the most expensive products.. anybody used this stuff before?

    RUST!

I took my rear reg. plate off the other day to get rid of the broken surround. Unfortunately I found a spot of rust. :dead: Its no bigger than a finger nail but I want to treat it or something and then cover with a larger plate. Comments would be appreciated. Thanks in advance :rasp:

    what spacers you using?

I'm using 5mm spacers all round, and have no problems in regards to tyres scrubbing etc. But I think they would look better if they were spaced out abit more. Just wondering, what you got? and at what point are hubcentric spacers required?

    Scatch X

I put my car in for a cambelt kit and water pump. Job done. They scratched my bumper slightly though. Only noticed when I got home. Looks like they have had a torch balancing on the lower grille, and scuffed it lightly. What does Scratch X do? Whats it suitable for? How good is it? Cheers
