This may be a rediculously simple answer, but if you were to buy the revised TDC and Loom is it just a plug and play affair.
Does the end of the new loom connect right into the old wiring where indicated? Or do you have to splice the cables where indicated by the red X? Does it connect...
I have the same issue, i've got a large bosch battery which stops the cold air feed, plus side... it never hesitates to start and I can use the radio all day long when working on it without worrying it'll go dead! :D
Right , decided in the end to remove the mount entirely, and cross threaded the mount on re - fitting, but managed to use the M10 bolt to retap the first 5mm of the thread and then connect with rest of thread!! will write this lot up into a revised mk2 guide for the bushes but has been...
As per title, passenger side was ok, there is enough movement to pull the rack forward to get to the old bush and swap out.
problem is the drivers side, doesnt look like it has enough clearance at the top to be able to swap the bush out, will I need to take out the mounting completely to gain...
So after a brief chat with Jade at Scorpion exhausts I have some of the newest centre pipe replacement sections on offer for the RS192 exhaust.
A bit of history, I bought mine in July 2012 so nearly 2 years old, but has been blowing on the centre section for some time where a weld had cracked...
Mark informed me that an oil change was not a necessity with changing the cambelt ( as i thought you had to drain the engine!!) , as I thought it was. I did an oil change two weeks ago so no need apparently?
Haha yes my grammar may have eluded my intentions there.
Certainly is on the 10 year mark now, if it was a real heap of a car, would still be tempted to see how long it last before it blows up naturally, purely out of interest! Has anyone done this and found they got 80 - 90 k or even more out...
Thanks Chip,
I will try again satday with all four plugs out to see if their is any greater variance between readings, hopefully they will still be +/-5 psi at best from around 185, now I best get on the phone to Twotechs/Ren7oaks/Markfish to get some best prices for a full cambelt change! This...
Results are in people. Opted to not remove all four plugs at once but rather one by one as i knew i'd get confused and install incorrectly on the return! Also Only took me and hour for the first time doing this (would have been quicker with extension on hose), how the hell can a garage expect to...
Good advice above, I think I would re-use the oil filter only and tensioners, get new aux belts and oil put in.
It's due its 10 yearly cambelt service (dependant on whether the compressions borked). The noise emminates definitely from the cam area, not from the join between the catalyst and...
Good , thanks for the above, it's all good stuff for a guide knowledgebase! I'll add that in eventually to the guide part at the top, can anyone confirm or deny 190psi as being a good reading , most likely won't come out to this due to mileage but it's good for reference?
After doing some research, I believe a 14mm hi guage tester will be needed. Decided to go for something of half decent quality (Gunsun Hi Gauge tester 14/18mm), can pick it up from halfords tonight.
For the clio 182 is 190psi regarded as being on spec?
Difference on a wet dry test being a...
Hi Guys, after been quoted £100 for a compression test (clio 182), after being messed around this morning I have decided that this is a job I should more than likely be able to complete myself, apparently it would have taken them 1 and a half hours to do the test, which seemed wholley excessive...
Does anyone have any idea on the original question, about the oil change and having to replace the Aux Belt + tensioners if they are removed? (even when having just been replaced?)
Hello experts !
Had an Auxillary belt change 4 months ago with the intention of not keeping the car long enough to warrant Cambelt change, aux was slipping a bit when cold and damp (whiney noise) on startup so had it changed on precaution (135k) miles.
Did oil change 2 weeks ago. Circumstances...
Grazo22, i'll send you a pm in a while , looks like we have a match!
KLM, i think he means the red pillow in the background, dickie back! haha
Can someone confirm, that I have routes to follow now...
New seat and with seat belt intact + ECU = problem fixed
or
new pretensioner + ECU +...
So far, from what I'm reading, at a minimum I'm going to need:
New pre-tensioner
Airbag ECU sent off and reset
Plugged into Renault clip to potentially reset the above
The above though doesn't solve the seat issue, won't the light still be on if the side air bag isn't replaced?
So what I...
Oh great, I thought I noticed something odd looking about the passenger seat belt, seems like this going to get worse before it gets better!
Seat belt has definitely fired, nothing appears to have happened at the back on any of the rear seat belts, they still work and tension just fine. So...
Clipped a kerb this morning, totally my own bloody fault, alarm didn't go off, rushed to get ready, bit sleepy when driving and mis-judged a kerb stone when going round a corner of a rural road.
Hit the kerb side on, like if I had slowly inched into it with the wheel parallel to the edge of the...
Hi Guys,
I think I may have done myself over a year ago when I 'refreshed' my suspension. Since April 13' I have changed the following:
Top Mounts entirely
Front shocks
Ball joints
Track rod ends
Rack Arms (with the little ball joint on the end connecting to the Steering rack? I think!)
I...
Cheers kev, the only discernable difference is that body is mainly plastic and not metal ( exactly this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/INJECTOR-RENAULT-0280158226-BY-BOSCH-/380569132450?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3AClio|Cars+Type%3A2.0+16V+Sport&hash=item589bb01da2 )

In regards to the injector, got the part number from this site, cross checked with Renault which matched up, then local motor factors who stated the bosch brand injector was the only one they did for that part number (8200207049).
In regards to the coil I went with the ecp (...
That is exactly what I have enquired about to Kat@Renparts, waiting back on a response for 3 of those injectors. I assume they will work fine with a bosch(over priced ... maybe @ £70) injector I had to get today?
Tomorrow I'm going to brim her up on the way to work and put some STP injector...
