Spring Rubber Pads

  182 Blue Top
Hi Guys,

yaqn.jpg

I think I may have done myself over a year ago when I 'refreshed' my suspension. Since April 13' I have changed the following:

Top Mounts entirely
Front shocks
Ball joints
Track rod ends
Rack Arms (with the little ball joint on the end connecting to the Steering rack? I think!)

I had already Sportline Eibach springs on, so they remained, changed everything over (rack ends and arms were only done 2 months ago, rest in april) but noticed there wasn't any rubber stops top and bottom of the springs as per the picture above, are these needed?? Cars 130k miles with sportlines from anywhere from 70k less as I don't have the receipt from previous owner.

Reason I ask , is that the suspension is now feeling a bit clunky again and I'm really hoping that by not having the rubbers top and bottom I haven't worn out the suspension out again after only 20k miles!

Do you think it's wise to remove the struts and get some rubbers in there? I'm getting a proper hunter check this friday as I'm sure somethings out as my wheels track the grooves in the road like where a HGV has eroded the surface away, thing is though, I can feel everything but sometimes It will pull left or right depending on how the road is angled!

Anyone got any idea of what the part is that goes on the spring between spring/shock at the bottom (rubber?)
