well still had probs with the car lumpy and revs dropping as low as 4oo,and dying..........
so i decided that i would take it to renault slough and they claim taken the throttle boddie of and cleaned......thus having a smoother idele and still ahs not cut out on me which it has been every day...
BUT IF THAT WAS THE CASE THEN MY RAER LIGHTS AND OTHER STUFF WILL BE OUT???
ALSO Y WHOULDTHE RAIN AFFECT THIS???
I HAVE A FEELING T HE ECU THAT I PUT ON THERE AT THE START OF THE WEEK WAS OKAY BUT SOME THING IS GETTING WET AND CAUSING IT TO GO WRONG.....UMMMMMMMM I LOVE BLOODY OLD...
NA M8 CHECKED ALL THAT LAST TIME IT WAS OUT A WEEK AGO,THE THING IS ITS ONLY SINCE IT HAS RAINED THAT I HAVE HAD THE PROBLEM COME BACK TO ME THATS Y I WAS ONDERING IF THE SENSOR IN THE UNIT ABOVE ME HEAD WAS CAUSING A PROB AS IT HAS WATER DAMADGE AND IT WAS FULL OF WATER IN THE WHOLE UNIT.........
BUT STARTING IN THE MONINGS WILL CAUSE U PROBS AS ITS COLD???
ALSO WOULD HAVING A LOW TEMP STAT ANDRAD SWITCH HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE CUTTING OUT? IE THE WATER SENSOR NOT GETING THE CORRECT READING AS IT SHOULD STD?
I HAD A PROB WITH IT CUTTING OUT,SO I CHANGED THE ECU AND ALL WAAS FINE FOR A WEEK,ALSO I AHVE HAD A LEAK ON THE SUNROOF FOR A WHILE NOW.THYEN IT PISSES DOWN WITH RAIN BADLY SINCE I HAVE CHANGED THE ECU AND NOW IT DOING THE SAME FAULT AS THE OLD ECU WHICH WAS DIAGNOSED AS DEFAULT.

just to let u know i have changed my ecu back to std willy one,and the car drives like a dream!!!!
two/three days gone now and no cutting out or low revs!!! touch wood
looked on the boards.
there seem to be a few roumors buzzing about
i have a willy,with de-cat air filter and sport system.
i want the ecu chipped but some say NO nad some say YES!!!???
peps with the chip please let me know as i have heard that a few have had pinking probs when this chipp...
after finding out i have a 19 16v ecu in my willy i have replaced it with a std one.BUT the ecu was un touched untill it went in to be "chipped" at a renault tuner about 3-4 yrs ago(with last owner/lady) i still have the recipts for this work being carried out,after removing and taking the metal...
I HAVE BEEN TOLD TODAY THAT I HAVE A R19 16V ECU IN MY WILLY!SURLY THIS CANT BE ANYGOOD FOR THE ENGINE? ETC TEC
WHY DO THEY DO THIS?
AND WHAT PROBS WILL IT CAUSE EG DOWN ON POWER ETC?
yeah i have been told from hill power that the siemens number of my ecu was from a r19 16v!!
so i have a 1.816v brain running a 2.0 16v engine???
when u put the dianstics on did u put in 19 or clio?
as if u put in 19 then surly it would read a diffent pattern?
