Any Torsion Tuning car deservers much Respect and will cane most cars with the right driver (me).
However, Marcus, 18inch wheels, silly front bumper and ICE means a slow ass 1/4mile times.

pay the $$ $ and buy some Coilovers, if you run 17s chances are the springs will catch on the wheels at that drop, or dont go so low and enjoy the ride rather than bumpy/bouncy ride that you will have and all the tram lini ng that goes with it
at the end of the box where it exits, use some big cable ties on the exhaust hangers and pull the box so that it does not move. Easy, and the cable ties dont melt.

A lagrer filter will have no bad effects on ys car mate, but then it wont do anything to the power produced either, why not just flow the STD air box and bung a performance filter in there ?
if you want cheaper insurance for the CLio Conversion, start off with a 3 door RT 1.4, that way some insurance companys dont class it as a Engine Conversion, where as with the 16v being a 1.8.....
The Clio 16v box is fine for the conversion;)

But lets face it it has got the best road engine that Renault ever built (well Gordini Turbo/Turbo1/2 same base diffrent heads ;) ), nothing beats a well felttled C1J lump. 1940s technology tough as feck and easy to work on.
Optimax will do nothing for the power of the car, it just means its less likley to detonate if you advance the ignition timing. And almost "ALL" UK spec cars ECUs are timed for 95RON fuel. so putting in 98Octane has no benifit unless you drive a high boosted Turbo car or Superchaged or a Super...
Cones just suck hot air, even with the ducting.
Use an panal filter and look at heat wrapping the STD air box in heat reflective matrials and look at maximising the air flow through the std box, ie cut away any thing that looks as if it is restricitive and impeds cold air from the std ducting.
