October's EVO Magazine has an article on £4000 performance cars;
Subaru Impreza WRX v Alfa 147 GTA v MR2 v Clio 182
Whilst not a true group test looking for a winner, the Clio 182 was chosen as the one car out of the above they'd like to own / drive on a day to day basis.
My 182 Cup had Recaro Trendlines fitted and I've just fitted 182 leather / alcantara.
Cups do not come with side / seat airbags fitted.
My car has the wiring it came with including the standard blocks, but does not have any resistors, yet I get no airbag warning lights.
So my question is, do...
Thanks everyone, I've emailed fastchip and await their reply regarding putting it back to standard. If possible, I'll buy a used RSTuner and a map from fastchip.
Cheers
John
I honestly couldn't say, I did believe the seller, but I have no proof.
It does appear to have a raised rev limit as it doesn't kick in at 7250, but I've never tested at what point it does, I feared a wallet bashing mechanical disaster!
My son has fallen on hard times, so to help him out (as he's lost his car) I'm giving him my RB 182 Cup.
The only problem is he has a bit of a checkered driving history and I need to remove current engine map and put it back to standard.
I'm guessing I need to buy and RSTuner module as this is...
That made me feel sick! Almost 8 minutes of 180mph or there abouts, how many opportunities of making a life ending mistake for you and / or any other road user?
I've just gone back to standard offset on my 182 for et36 i.e and extra 9mm track each side.
The extra offset gave me some rather unpleasant handling characteristics that no number of visits to varying garages to get my geometry checked / altered could fix, namely tramlining and torque steer...
Plus; a lower power headunit, cheaper speakers? no Alcantara door cards, I think the finish of the centre console is shiny rather than soft touch, cheaper gear knob, no rear grab handles, non heat reflective windscreen, no engine cover, removal of some sound deadening, no headlamp washers, no...
I second Dan, I found it a pain to attach the cable to the handbrake mechanism under the exhaust. I didn't drop the exhaust and my fat hands struggled for about 45 minutes trying to align the cable.
Definitely buy genuine Renault, I bought pattern parts originally and they were always too long...
Magic thanks, 4 new shocks and top mounts ordered to go with my new Cooksport springs.
Is it worth renewing all my bushes whist I'm doing this? In for a penny 'n' all

I don't know of any problems with it, I've got the X10 and they had issues with their sensor, but they used different sensors anyway.
I love my X10 and would love and X100. They are just amazing to use, they feel so good in your hands and take great photos...
I'm thinking that as they've got to come off to replace the front springs at least, replacing them now will save me labour in the future if I refit my old ones and they then go and leak in a few months / next year.
I've got a 182 Cup with 57,000 miles on it.
I've recently suffered a snapped spring so I'm replacing all four springs as a set of Cooksports are only £130 and one front Renault was £90.
My shocks have no leaks and appear to damp perfectly still.
However, whilst it's all stripped to fit the...
I just got a quote yesterday of £125 from Solar Glass Technologies in Stirling, they vinyl loads of minis for Menzies apparently. I've used them before for tints on 4 cars and their work had been great.
There are varying measurements on here, but you're right, I'd want to make sure they were...
