    My blue oval

Thanks for the info. I have put a deposit down on it and due to pick it up on Saturday. Might test drive another one today for piece of mind and to compare. To be honest its probably just me being pedantic and being used to driving a lazy auto for the last year. Fingers crossed everything's fine.

    My blue oval

Hi Pint. Pictures look good. I'm in the market for a Zetec S at the moment. I test drove my first one yesterday. A 58 plate single owner car on 28,000 miles with full service history. The car felt great. The only thing I'm not sure about is the gear change and I was wondering if you could give...

    Internet Through a Power Socket

These work well in almost all homes for all internet and network applications. I have a pair of gigabit Netgear Powerlines. One in front room downstairs by router. One upstairs in bedroom which is connected to a 1gig 8 port switch. Never see network issues or struggle with speed. I have these...

    E85 3.0 Z4 Roadster Project

How was the oil filter housing gasket change? Mine is leaking and I've got the gasket at home but haven't quite got round to getting the job done. Could you possibly say how long the job took? Really like your car, especially the wheels.

    Timps' Fiesta ST

Ha. When I said I don't think he knew we were racing, that should be read as he definitely didn't know we were racing. He looked too much like a discerning gentleman to be be dragging from speed cameras. I was just excited as it was the first ST I'd seen. Also he was 100% winning on mpgs. Roads...

    Timps' Fiesta ST

Raced one of these with my 330ci and destroyed it. To be fair I don't think the guy knew we were racing but a win is a win. It also looked very nice. Lovely car.

PLAYERS CLASSIC '13 - GoodWood Motor Circuit

Can I ask why all the pictures have that awful filter/effect on them that just makes the pictures crap to look at? Its not as if the effect even reflects the content of the pictures. Modern cars with modern (mostly crap) modifications and then an old fashion like filter makes no sense.

    E92 335i

Is the power steering and noise from the front end a new warranty claim? If so does that mean you have to pay another £100 excess? Hopefully they fix these problems and then its trouble free for a while.

    E92 335i

I got a quote for my brothers 58 plate e92 330i M Sport he recently purchased. Fully comprehensive with £100 excess and no emergency service came back as £39.28 a month. This warranty defiantly makes the prospect of owning a used BMW much more appealing. I will be recommending it to him. I'd say...

No problem mate. Enjoy it. I miss mine a lot.

Wheel arch on my 182 tore off!

Is that a picture of your actual car? You said in your original post that your car has both cup packs, but the car in that picture only has the suspension pack (anthracite alloys), not the spoiler pack. If you had both cup packs you would have the bigger spoiler and a front splitter trim.

Cambelt Con/Rip off tactics (If you fancy a laugh)

Re: Cambelt Con/Rip off tactics. Not even going to bother trying to argue with someone who has clearly no knowledge of what they are preaching. Also I think, in the future, leave it to your mate to educate people. He has clearly said something to you which you have not understood and has then...

Cambelt Con/Rip off tactics (If you fancy a laugh)

Re: Cambelt Con/Rip off tactics. What the hell is a tension cycle and hard acceleration cycle? Bro Science has finally reached the world of cars. To save money I just poor used cooking oil in my engine. Its all the same thing really and still lubricates the engine. Engine oil is just an...

Cambelt Con/Rip off tactics (If you fancy a laugh)

Re: Cambelt Con/Rip off tactics. OP writes that only mileage and not age matters. Dan post a picture of a car where the belt has clearly failed because of age and not mileage. Op comes back with "A poorly maintained car will show this". If OP would like to explain how that car is poorly...

Detailed the Boat (Warning - PCP'd, Slow, diesel bus content)

Such a nice looking car. Nothing wrong with black if its taken care of properly. The putting your own car down in every thread thing gets boring after a while. It isn't a bus, or a boat and in a detailing thread no one cares about what engine it has or pcp. If you didn't bring these things up...

    My 2008 JCW MINI

That's a factory Mini JCW. Ignore the Autotrader listing title as they seem to stick Cooper S on any bloody Mini. You can tell that is a proper JCW as the front badge is on the lower grill and there is no Cooper S badges on the sides or back. Also the big red brakes and body kit are a give away...

    My 2008 JCW MINI

The main difference between the Mini Cooper S with any JCW add ons and an actual Mini JCW is the engine. The JCW has same engine the Mini Challenge race car has which comes with lots of upgrades. None the less that's still a lovely car and I'd happily own it.

    Project cars

Lens flair at the 1.30 mark is ridiculous. Glare from the sun is fair enough but seen as the view is supposed to be from the drivers eyes I think that's well over the top. Minor gripe with all first person games though. Looks good and progressing well.

    Whats £10k getting me?

Quite a few suggested a Megane R26 early on in this thread. Whilst I have no experience with these cars I have been looking at them recently including doing some research. Whilst a common theme from owners is how good it is as a drivers car, these comments are always accompanied with comments on...

Matte Red/Matte Grey Plastidipped my 172

I love how people are dragging this thread off topic by asking posters who are on topic to do a search. Asking the OP questions about the product he is looking to sell shouldn't be met with people telling them to search. Maybe a quick google would give them the info they are after but no harm in...

Front end goes light after 90mph+

Exactly right. Get one sorted before attempting anymore high speed antics. Skoda sell one for £12 I believe. Search on here for more info. Also makes the front of the car look better. Drive safely.

Front end goes light after 90mph+

You don't have a front splitter on your car. This must be the cause of lightness on the front end. You need more down force going those speeds round corners guy. :clown:

dumb question - checking oil filler cap

I believe it is fine to take the oil filler cap off when the engine is warm. Its not a pressurized system and the oil wont be at boiling point. It will be hot so be careful. I may be wrong. I did take the oil cap off my 3 series at the weekend when the engine was hot and nothing bad happened...

    DAY TIME RUNNING LAMPS

All aftermarket DLRLs look s**t. They are always that cheap looking blue colored LED rather then the nicer looking white light that manufacturers fit as standard and always fitted badly. After market DLRL are the modern day equivalent to fitting LEDs on your screen washer nozzles, AKA wanker...

    Not Another 330CI.

Hi guys, quick update. It seems I have a problem where, when sitting in heavy traffic for any long period of time, the car starts to overheat. Now so far I have been lucky and caught site of the temp needle heading to the red in time to shut the car off. It seems as soon as I get on a bit of...

What does this warning light mean?

Mine did this when breather pipe came off intake. Its a rubber pipe that attaches to the bend on the intake just before the throttle body. Pipe had fallen behind the engine and just needed to be pushed back on. 2 second job if it is this. The light came on when I was stationary by the way...

    Not Another 330CI.

Thanks. There's something about the E46 coupe shape I love and had to own one. I do like the look of the convertables with the roof down. I thought I'd go for the coupe though, for the added stiffness. I did look at the z4 at one point but were a bit to expensive for me. The drivers door pull...

    Not Another 330CI.

Yeah, is a bit pricey. I think it looks a bit better then the standard leather piece. But then there's nothing wrong with the standard leather one so I'd just be spending 70 odd pounds for fun. My mates e92 coupe has a similar selector but also has aluminium dash inserts so works better. Will...
