O2 PAYG iPhone sim is what you want. Top up with £10 and it gives you 'unlimited' web and wifi access (for a year). The £10 is then available as credit. I have one of these sims in a flashed usb mobile broadband dongle and it works fine.
At the moment at my parents house we have a Netgear DG834G hooked up to a WPN802 Range Max access point. Started off with just the DG but struggled with range, so added the WPN which helped a bit. I have an office in an outbuilding and again range/speed was a problem so bought a Belkin Universal...
At my parents there is the main board, then from there, there are approximately 6 other boards around the house, so difficult to trace all cabling.
The belkin unit I am sure that you can connect via ethernet cable, then basically is an additonal access point, but uses the original router. I...
Be careful of the extenders that use the mains power cables to extend signal. I have heard that they can be good, but the sockets need to be on the same mains circuit, otherwise they don't work so well.
I take it that you are in an old house with thick brick walls?! I work from my parents...
Have a play with the connections. My girlfriend's clio's horn stopped working when it went in for its MOT. The garage just cleaned up the connections and now it works fine.
Spotted a yellow 182 driving through a carpark in the centre of Chester this morning. I think the reg ended LPP or LLP or similar - am not from Chester so was trying to concentrate on being in the right lane!!
Parents have just bought a caravan, so looking for a very cheap 15" lcd tv for it. Seen this on ebuyer http://www.ebuyer.com/product/163961 with built in freeview for £74, any good?!
I have a domain registered for my company, and just want a rather basic website creating. How do I go about doing this? I have a brochure basically detailing what I do, and just really want this on there. How do I then get the wesite live? Domain is registered through 123reg
Sorry if I seem a...
Friend has noticed a few swirl marks on his car. I have a PC so am going around at the weekend. I have some Megs 83 and 80 I think. Are there any decent products out there for this particular colour? Don't really want to spend a fortune. Usually top off with some P21s.
Any advice would be much...
I bought a Dell laptop in September last year, loaded with Vista, but downgraded to XP. My gf is now looking to buy a new laptop and have been looking at Dell again. However, Dell now want £40 to downgrade Vista to XP. If we bought the new laptop with Vista, is it possible for me to downgrade to...
Girlfriend has AutoCAD (2005?) and Photoshop (not sure which version) on her laptop. She is thinking of upgrading her laptop, but doesn't have the installation cds. Any way of getting the programs across, or anyone know where I can obtain copies?!
Basically I work from my parent's house. They have a wireless network in the house, but I work from one of the outbuildings. If I move the wireless router to where I am, the signal in the house is crap. So I wondered if there is basically an additional device that I can use so that I can have a...
