Mate - try Admiral - believe they are the parent Co to Elephant. Was with Elephant last year and Admiral beat their quote this time. £415 fully comp with protected no claims on a 53 172. Mines import also, they never asked.

Anybody had any issue with their rear wheels sticking slightly on their 172 when parked for a few days or after a relatively short time after being driven in damp conditions. Is it a general isue or just with mine.

Anyone know where I may purchase a Renault logo etching/sticker for car "back" window. Have checked the obvious "here and e-bay" but cant locate. Im pretty sure Ive seen one somewhere but cant remember.

OK - 1000 miles covered in 172 - had a little play drive on the way back from the gym this evening - roads being greasy I decided to test the traction control under acceleration. Is it natural for the car to judder and bang at the front end when the traction control kicks in?. Cheers!

Thanks for all of the above. With the distinct lack of Shell Garages around these parts - looks like Im set to choose between BP and Total, with Total edge-ing it according to Rich-D.

It takes more than a mile to run in my dog, so I suspect a 172 may take a little longer.

Anybody know what the run-in period is on a 172 - i.e. the No of miles that the car should not be taken over say 3500 revs. Cheers.
