driving round birmingham on a night you could see nothing but neon lights on corsa's etc.
Great for when you needed a good laugh, all these fast & furious micro machines.
Could of been a local thing except i know manchester was the same
a while ago i had next to no knowledge about cars, ive since put a 1.8 16v engine into my 1.4 clio using a haynes manual. i have alot of respect for haynes, they just leave bits out at times.
-KARL- looks like you only joined in jan, i think you may of missed the "NEON CRAZE" of 2003/4. Must...
not tryin to insult any1 and fair comments from you all, completley understand but does anyone know anything about it?
i've searched and posted on almost every clio/renault forum and cant get a reply.
I think most clio forum users are more interested in neon lights, bass and angel eyes and not the actual mechanics of the car.
Posted this on a few different forums, no one seems to know.
Anyway, hopefully someone here can prove me wrong.

water pumb is leaking from a little hose just under the the pulley.
it is not a screw hole or anything else, why is this? some sort of seal?
and how much trouble is it to change the pump?
thankyou
the fuel sytem runs in a pressurised loop anyway doesnt it? so it should at least fire even if the lines were the wrong way round?
or is there some sort of one way valve in the system?
Sound job!
got the fuel hoses mixed up for a start.
Didnt take any notice of rev counter.
Will check spark, how do i do this now? hold a plug and lead (carefully) to the chassis?
Thanks
Cant have a look at it untill the weekend but keep the ideas coming in please guys
Just dropped a valver engine into my mk1.
Everything connecting up and electrics working fine now (thanks to TD172 For the ECU)
Finally Managed to change the fuel pump this week, tried to start it for the first time and its turning over fine but not even attempting to fire.
Any Ideas on...
Put my Vectra on Tech 2 This Week!
Showed a "low voltage on mass air sensor" fault.
I disconnected it, sprayed it with grease and reconnected it.

I have a split hose which joins the rad. Wheres the cheapest place for a set of hoses ?
Also my rad is nackered, not leaking but a lot of the metal fins (or whatever they're called) are squashed, the fans bent and i could do with a new one.
I have a Superb condition 1.4rt rad...
after the clifford autoarm has kicked in, the can will turn to ignition without any problem.
But as soon as i press the clifford key pad to activate it, it goes mad again.
So i'm thinking it may be a clifford problem. Anyone know about this? I cant be ringing the guy up on xmas eve :)
Right, i've checked all earth connections and loom and they're all fine.
Its still clicking wildly and lights flashing.
Should i have changed the ignition module? Might that be something to do with it?
