How much was the gel one? Reckon it will be a decent copy of the OEM renault one?

I rigged up 4 x 500ml coke bottles with a bit of gaffer tape and put the injector tips into them, got someone to crank the car and check which bottle has the least fluid in it afterwards.
It was the only way I could think of doing it without getting fuel everywhere. This was on my 106 Rallyé...
It's a bit odd. Might be something to do with me fitting a pioneer hu recently. I'll pull it out and have a look to se if i've damaged any wires or whatever
Result:
My mrs had kicked my battery cut-off switch in the passenger footwell. Just turned it enough to disconnect it slightly and still leave the red key in. I really need to remove that.
Next issue - Since this my clock has a gremlin... It's going up an hour at a time by itself and doesn't...
I think it's quite different here in Northern Ireland. We don't get V-Power/Momentum99 and I've heard from someone in the trade in my local car forum that all our fuel is from the same supply. Getting super over here is a struggle at times nevermind getting non-supermarket petrol, then if my...
Ah don't b e telling me that.
I hope it's the battery as it's got a 5 year warranty (bosch jobbie), I didnt get a chance to get the car tested last night as it was pissing down and my garage is full atm
I'll report back with my findings!
Will do, I'll get the multimeter out later. I was thinking it sounded like an earth or alternator issue, but with having a new one recently I was hoping it wasn't scrap already.
Cheers folks.
I was doing a lot of driving for work over the last week and one morning the car wouldn't start. It cranked over for about 3 seconds then stopped. I popped the bonnet, gave all the wires a good wiggle and pushed everything in a bit and it started straight up.
Driving along yesterday and it...
I was due an upgrade in July, changed from an iPhone 8 to a Samsung S10. I tried to get on with Android for the full 28 day window I was allowed before I had to return it. Previously I was all about android, now its just a hassle. Things like installing an app, and 99% of them wait full access...
It's put a huge bubble in a new tyre, moved the while engine off it's mounts and god knows what else. It was that high my splitter bottomed out on the higher bit!
They're resurfacing the road by my house. Where the new road met the old road there was a 20cm sheer face, the roads a 50mph zone and I managed to get down to 30 before the impact.
It hit so hard the engine moved forward on it's mount and needed to be loosened off, realigned and tightened up...
Please, don't cut the rear bumper. If you want to go all 'track style' and cut it, I'll swap you my one with cash.
The struggle to find an uncut iceberg silver 172 rear bumper is real.
As for mods:
Powerflex engine mount insert, dog bone insert, exhaust mount. (Or PMS if you're feeling flush)...
It doesn’t really matter tbh. If the battery is fully charged, I can drive away at it but after I start it the 3rd time is sounds weak then the 4th time is usually just a slow turnover then the starter clicking.
I tried it again last night, charged the battery and went out and turned it on and...
I left my car sitting for 5 weeks, occasionally starting it. Until one day the battery was flat.
2002 172
No lights on the dash,
Battery charges to full on my Ctek battery conditioner
Visual indicator (sight glass on yuasa 3000 battery) shows green, being healthy
Alternator shows the battery is...
Think that's what someones done to mine. I'm going to T it off at the pump for the windscreen washer jets and just tape the hose to the top of the headlights. It'll pass the MOT at least then I can whip it off when I get home.
My MOT is due on Friday and I’ve just noticed that when I try to wash my headlights the water trickles out of the passenger arch. I removed the arch liner and the hose that connects the washer jets to the fitting is missing.
Would anyone have one about? Or know if some 5/6mm generic piping...
