Just a quick update on this in case anyone else has the same issue.
I had a combination of the door seal letting water in and also blocked drains in the sill which I think contributed.
Anyway, both rectified very easily and not had a drop in the footwell since. Completely bone dry which is a...
Just had loads of heavy rain again so thought I’d pop out and check. I think it may be the door card as suggested above. Are they easy to get off? Any walk throughs on here?
The sill drainage holes were blocked but I sorted that and loads of water came out. Still getting water in it though when standing still. Could water be transitioning from the sill into the footwell as it fills up?
My 172 I bought last June has started to develop this issue over the last few weeks. When driving I noticed that there was sloshing coming from the passenger side of the car under braking, accelerating etc. Further examination showed that the sill was full with water. It was getting in when...
I recently got back into a 172, 10ish years since I sold my 182. Had all manner of hotter hatches in between. There’s something special about these Clios. Don’t think you’d be disappointed.
I’ve also just got back into a Clio 172. This is Renault Sport number 9. Always missed my first one though which was a lovely 182. Regretted selling that and always will. Great to be back in something similar. Went for a full fat 172 as needed the climate. It’s in stunning condition and a joy to...
Just a thought, I know it's not been released just yet but shouldn't be too far away, what about the new RS Megane. They are doing it with manual and the flappy paddles that you want? Would be similar price to new Type R and I'm sure will give it a very good run for its money!
Yeah they are. All sorted now thankfully. We had to wind the calipers out a touch so they were very tight. Taken the car for a quick spanking and they seem all fine now.....touchwood!
Just changed rear pads on my 2010 Clio 200. Put in Oem Brembos no problem at all. Only issue now is that the pedal won't firm up at all. You can clearly see the piston on both calipers coming out but then going back in and leaving slack in the caliper which is causing it to rock slightly. We've...
Hi guys, need new pads on the rear of my 200, where is the best place to buy now? I used a guy on here for my 182 but can't seem to find him anymore.
Also, any recommendations? Currently have the standard Renault pads and discs on the rear but running DS2500 on the front. Many thanks.
I run on Yoko AD08R's. Absolutely stunning tyre. The grip is immense and I've had no issues over winter, although I'm down in Devon so it barely gets very cold and we've had no snow at all! I won't use anything else now.
Yeah, pretty sure they are the same as everyone else. I was also thinking that it could do with being a little lower, but don't want to compromise the ride. I had Eibachs on my 182 and they were fine. What do people normally go for?
Ive only had the car two months or so, but assume its on the standard cup springs. Nothing in the paperwork to suggest otherwise and comparing it to the H&R above, I would say so.
I actually went with 225/45 as I can't stand the stretched look and 225 are a more suited fit to an 8 inch wheel I believe. And yep, they are AD08R's. Superb tyre.
Finally had my new wheels and tyres delivered today. Loving the look and stance compared to the standard 200 wheels. Very very happy. Just a few quick photos.
Recently bought a 200 and not a huge fan of the standard wheels. Thinking about a set of Ultraleggera's.
The 17 inch wheels come in either a 7.5 width with a 40 et or a 8 inch with a 55 et.
I'm assuming the best option would be the 8 inch wheel, but is that wider than standard?
If so, what...
If you want to keep all the steering wheel controls, I used these guys before for a Forester and will do again when I change my stereo. They stock all the parts you need.

Might have an official Renault centre arm rest going soon. Interior so much better without it. It gets in the way so much and creaks constantly. What a pile of tosh.
Took it for a proper 2 hour thrashing today. I just can't believe how well sorted the chassis is. Any speed into any corner and it just sticks. Phenomenal.
I had a modified Octavia vRS. It was a brilliant family car and much quicker in a straight line, but I fancied something more fun and the Clio is way ahead in the chassis department.
I paid £7.5k. I got a very good part ex price so it was worth it and almost a straight swap.
It's on 50k miles, full history and just had both belts done. Got some choice mods too.
Well, I haven't had chance to really grab it by the scruff of the neck yet, so can't really compare it to the 182 just yet.
From what I've seen so far, it's much much more comfortable with the Recaros and seems a fair amount firmer and stiffer all round. With the exhaust it got on, it's also...
