I'll probably do a few laps and realise I was worried for nothing.
You'll be fine, once you feel the grip after a few laps, dont need to be hitting the limiter all the way round, need good tyres pads fluid and brake ducting then you'll have a great day,its to far for me or I'd be going 🫣

I did Cadwell one January with Opentrack, the track was frozen in places but nobody died. You'll be fine Dave, just follow me around and you'll be safe.WhatsApp Image 2022-01-22 at 09.19.14.jpeg
EDIT - I knew I had the photo somewhere. Hardest part was staying upright in the paddock!

I have also only done Cadwell 2 times in November on semi slicks, and it was dry but slippy as fcuk due to conditions. Did not die.

Looking forward to a summer one, should be peak weather. The track is mega, technical yet fast.

Might take 2 cars if its split am/pm again.

I’ve watched a few videos online over the last few days, and fully expect to bin it at some point. Definitely investing in track day insurance again 😂

Given how quickly people have jumped on the chance to have some driver coaching at the CS invitationals..

Would people contribute to the clubs charity chosen charity in return for say - a 15 to 20 min session of tuition? 🤷‍♂️
I for one would happily pay for that 👍🏻

If any of yous wanting to share accommodation. Kenwick Woods Lodges in Louth is decent. Right down the road from Cadwell too.
We’ve been before with the trailers no bother.

I really don't understand why people chip off to hotels. They miss out on so much by doing so.

It goes against the hard work the club puts in on these events too.

While we all laugh and joke in here, the staff go to a lot of effort to make this happen and front up a lot of cash to ensure we have a venue 🤷‍♂️

I mean at the end of the day it's totally up to that person if they wish to camp or not 👍🏻

I genuinely am surprised that people think it goes against the club by choosing to sleep somewhere comfy for a couple of nights.

There is absolutely nothing worse than waking up, grim as f**k at 5am after having slept badly all night then driving your car all day on track which takes significantly more concentration than your average pootle on the m1.

This will be my first proper weekend away sans baby in a long time so you can absolutely be assured I have done everything in my power to secure a hotel for 2 nights in absolute bliss 😂 individual differences and all that...

Camping for me unfortunately isn't something I can do, understand the view from the club though

I fully appreciate that mate, some can't for personal reasons etc.

And you're welcome to matey, no one is stopping you at all. More so after your daddy duties 👍

But I'm with @Cub. on this one as I fully appreciate how difficult it is for the club to organise all this for us after putting together the CS invitationals.

It's not easy, it takes a lot of time and planning. People not camping also means less weekend tickets sold, meaning less ££ for future CSF's. So the more it's supported by members the more we all benefit in future.

Originally the camping was at a separate site, but the campfire piss ups became more of an event than CSF, so it was all combined to make it more of a festival atmosphere, hence the name.

I get that people want to be comfy and well rested on what is essentially a weekend holiday, but with less people camping it's in danger of going back to a single day event where everyone has to book a hotel for one or two nights.

I also think age has a lot to do with it, the clubs been around for a quarter of a century and we've all got older and less tolerant of discomfort.
