02 172 auto headlamps

my 172 with the xenon lamps stopped working last night? there fine when you turn them on just not automatic anymore? wondered if theres a known fix or a fuse that could have blown as i have no handbook for the car

Ignition on with the engine off, turn lights on and off twice should beep and they will be automatic again.

turn the ignition on, then turn the stalk to side lights then back off do that 2-3 times till it beeps that should re activate auto lights

If you turn the light on manually it turn auto lights off.


As for wipers, ignition on, move the stalk down 1 click and that should be them on auto, use the little slidy thingy to choose the sensitivity.

I never use the auto thing anyway, as in i still switch them on when there "on" anyway.

i know but when you have auto headlights on your car its nice when they work lol even if its just to save flicking a switch lol

Yeah I still have to have it on though! Shows off my xenon in tunnels.
