Right, due a upgrade in my handset now, phoned up, spoke to some woman who then tried to tell me i wasn't due a upgrade until august, i said f**k off, i am due one now, i have had the phone a year, she said hold on, went to speak to her supervisor and they said i could upgrade now, was offered a deal to get N95 free, 35 quid a month, 18 months, 600 mins, 1000 txts, i didnt like the 18 month part so i said i would ring back when i have made my mind up, so went to look on other networks and couldnt find a better deal, so phoned back up, got some bloke who said it wasnt available, so hung up, phoned up again, then some woman said yea she can offer me that deal but the phone would cost me £89.99... i said bollox thats not the deal u offered me earlyer, she said sorry but her department couldnt do any better, i said can i speak to anyone higher up or is there anything you can do? she said no...

Right, got some miserable fucker called Margret on phone, and after her telling me i couldnt upgrade until august again, i had to argue with her for her to get off her lazy arse and talk to her supervisor, and then they wanted £89.99 again, i said thats bollox, because i have been with u since january last year, and your not offering me any discounts or anything, just treating me like a new customer again, and if you dont i am going to a different network. So she panicked a little bit then and give me this number for the specialist team, 0845 60 60 618, gonna phone that now :)

You can't say O2 customer care are good until you've dealt with them.

I think they're tossers personally.

Switched to Orange this week, with the inclusion of free(ish) broadband, it's less than O2's "loyalty tarrif" and has more included, and the bit I was really after was the SPV M700 (HTC P3600).

Orange have come much further with network developement recently, plus free calls to landlines, magic number every 6 months and apparently good customer services (free phone is a good start compared to O2's national rate) I thought I'd give them a go.

I'm on the Racoon tarrif, 800minutes, unlimited land line calls, 100 texts for £35, broadband which is normally £20 is now £5... So I guess compared to what I was paying, it's like having the contract for £20. No bad, especially considering they're doing that £100 credit, which means first 2 1/2 months line rental are paid already.

She just come back and said that 'the manager' is going to be another couple of minutes....

If you haven't spent a lot with them, they won't go out of their way to make a deal.

They have landed me with several tripple figure bills this year, the line

"Yes I can see you've been spending a lot with us, let me see what I can do.."

I get to call them back soon and tell them what they can do :nono:

Always been really good for me... I always speak to the retentions department... I seem to always get a decent deal...

Thats not bad. the tariff i am on should have been £35 but I kicked up a fuss (long story) and told them I would leave so they dropped it to £30 and gave me a free phone.. I do this everytime my contract is up and they always honor it..

My friend who I recommended to orange has just left O2, she has been with them for 18 months and has had nothing but hassle with them..

She also got the £100 free credit as well

f**k o2, going to change networks now, just spoke to some wanker of a manger who basically said f**k off ur not having the phone for less, ur either paying £50 a month or more to get the handset free, or you will have to pay £89.99 to get it on a £35 quid a month tariff, i said well at that deal i am going to cancel and go onto a different network, he said ok bye...AND i wasnt be a b*****d on the phone before anyone asks lol, i was being polite. Its fuckin ace the way o2 treat customers who have spent literally fuckin £1000's on them over the years (on pay and go and i allways go over my monthly allowance)

  MINI Cooper S
Not yet, i will be though, just need to find some were else that has the N95 in stock with a decent deal, orange are out of stock :( Will phone orange up tomorrow, piss sick of talking to phone companies tonight. The thing that pisses me of, its that i was offered the phone for free in the first phone call i made, but i didnt take it, so now they are trying to f**k me for £89.99

I had this problem last month. Anyone other than the people that deal with people wantinng to leave are useless. If you ask for your PAC code and want to leave, they put you through to someone who usually gives you what you want.
O2 do suck when it comes to upgrading, but i always have signal with them, unlike orange which im adamant only cover 10% of the country

Yea thats one thing with o2, i always seem to have a signal in area's were my mates phones on other networks dont... (always at Cadwell Park i am the only person with a signal!). The PAC code is so you can keep your number and transfer it across network isnt it? i definitely want to keep my number, i am not loosing it... its got 1337 at the end

dann3h, how much were ya spending monthly were ya over ya contract?

might be worth ringing in the day time when theres more staff?

  MINI Cooper S
20/30 quid usually, i'm gonna see if i can sort something with another network, then if i can phone o2, and actually say i want to cancel, then if they put me through to the department who can mess with the figures to get me to stay, then ill see what they can do then, if they cant do anything for me, then move network :)

Lots of people seem to be saying that you have to spend a lot to make them want to keep you. My contracts £15 a month, most i go over is £5 and thats rare. I got a free phone and more minutes etc by threatening to leave :D

  MINI Cooper S
I should get it for free because i was offered it for free in the first place, but then they changed their minds, and also because of how much i have spent with them in the past, and how long i have been with them.
