04 Clio Install

  Hondata'd EP3 Type R
Hi, I'm soon to be embarking on my next install, Its nothing special, And the subs I'm after arent even out yet, But I would like to do some research before i do this.

I've owned a similar Clio before, Which I did all thsi too, However, It was a max power style car, And the wHOLE interior was out, Which made the install easier.

My newest install is going to be in a Standard 2004 Clio. I dont really want to modify anything unless I really have to, And i must be able to revert to stock at any point, Where as in my last Clio, I just chopped/cut/Fibreglassed what ever I Wanted!

I Was just hoping for some pictures/advice/ideas of what to do for this install. I think I will benefit from Using MDF baffles for the door speakers (pics would be handy), And maybe some advice on running the cables through the car. Also, I'm having alot of trouble getting all the wiring behind the dash for the Head unit (Pioneer AVH-P5900DVD), Are there any pieces of interior trim/dash trim I can remove to give me more room and less cut hands ?

Any help would be gladly accepted

Kind Regards

Powercable you pull trough next to the bonnetreleasecable and router it along the left side of the car.
RCA + remote along the right side of the car, I have running 3 of those in mine. You just have to take of some of the side interiour to run it trough and some patience.
Other audio cables along the middle of the car, under the carpet and next to the gearbox. Use a stiff wire to find your way and then just pull the others trough.

I found it easier with the dash off, and the cupholder thingie removed.

If you take the top dash off it will help you to route the cables behind the HU plus you can always put your crossovers in their too (i did on the ph1 sure it will be the same )

Yea im on TalkAudio, No one replied though:(

I've done A fair few installs, Like i say did my whole Clio before, 4x 12's, 4 amps, 3 sets of comps etc etc, But my attitude back then was if its in the way, Cut it out (similar attitude to the streetbasser section on TA Taylor ;)), And there was no interior in there, So routing cables was easy.

This time, I want minimal fuss, And want to be able to return to standard at any time :)

Dash Top off seems necessary :(

I was hoping m ywiring woul have arrived today so I could start work (finished work early) But it hasnt :(

where the air con bit is the plastic that goes underneath that towards the cig lighter and cup holders can be removed and cables can be put under there,i managed to fit my parrot handsfree kit in behind it so you should have plenty of room there.

this is what i had in my clio, removeable from folding down rear seats to take it to rear, then turn it sideways, then take it out the boot.was quite heavy but did the job.never finished it as i prefer my alpine 1600 than this
